He played 23 times for Watford in all competitions and scored 3 goals. The Championship leaders have had a bid - thought to be around £1million - accepted for the 26-year-old. The centre-half has not featured for Pompey's first-team since a £3million switch from Watford in September and wants regular football. The club were working on the player's terms and he is now having a medical on Friday. Newcastle boss Chris Hughton earlier told the Northern Echo: "There has been an offer made which has been accepted and at the moment we're just working on the lad's terms. "He's a lad with good pedigree. "He did very, very well at Watford and I have known about him for a while.
