jimmymag
He's better than Taylor imo. No doubt plenty will disagree. Williamson was costing us a goal every other game (at best) for the part of the season he was in the team. Not unlike Taylor in the last 2 home games then? Fair point, neither are good enough if want to be successful long term. Exactly, Williamson gets more criticism as he's an easy target compared to S Taylor. Well i do think Saylor if much better, not saying a lot that though mind. Fucks sake man, Taylor's the least of our problems. He's more than good enough for us with the right partner. Mole_Toonfan
Taylor's positional sense is god awful that is one area where Williamson beats him all day long. But Williamson is slow as f*ck and causes far too many problems because of it.

Could've had Kompany and Vidic at CB and we would've conceded a ton of goals under FORTRESS NEWCASTLE.

It's just players like Kompany and Vidic make less mistakes and make better decisions. I like Saylor, it's just the injuries and if you really want to be better then i think we a better player. MInd you you could say that about a few positions at the moment.

Aye very true, think Colo wanting out is to do with Pardew tbh.
toontownman
Played well and did his job today, other than allowing the team to continue floating long balls to him from free kicks. Needs binning in the summer but has been a good servant of the club and looked class in the championship, even the first part of our promotion season tbf. If he had any pace i'd consider keeping him but he is limited because of it and relies on shirt pulling or giving cheap fouls away.
Deuce
I'm very excited to watch MYM develop at CB. Watching him play you can tell he's just oozing with talent. Was arguably the best CB in Ligue 1 before the transfer. Once he gets settled and figures out the pace of the PL, he'll be a staunch CB for us. Took Colo some time to acclimate as well. Klaus
Taylor is a good defender when fit, however he can never be relied upon to stay fit for a lengthy string of matches. We definitely need an upgrade on him for this reason...
Mr. Snrub
Hopefully this tosser isn't far behind Pardew on the way out the door.

Beren
Williamson - good lad. Got no slack that others have been afforded when he played an absurd amount of games with no rest.
NEEJ
Williamson - good lad. Got no slack that others have been afforded when he played an absurd amount of games with no rest. Hope he's gone at the end of the season, but I harbour no bad feelings towards the bloke. Hope he finds himself a club where he can find his level and thrive. Mr. Snrub
Brighton in the cup alone is enough to harbour bad feelings for him.
JH
The Journal understands that Shane Ferguson will also be offered out on loan, while defender Mike Williamson is close to completing a move to Cardiff City. Source

Pilko
Good news. I hope he does well there. As shit as he can be, there's been some decent performances and he's essentially a poster boy for the lack of investment and what it's done to us lately. WarrenBartonCentrePartin
We really need a pacy striker next season. We'll win about 38848383 penalties in our two games against them with his constant shirt-pulling.
Guest
Back to needing a new centre-back then. Wouldn't have minded him staying as a 4th choice behind the main 3.

LoveItIfWeBeatU
I'd rather we brought Mike Williamson's replacement in before we sold him. He's adequate as 4th choice centre back. If it's Douglas in and Williamson out then that's fine. More likely it will be Williamson out and then weeks of waiting for his replacement as the new season draws ever nearer.
