Ketsbaia
http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2011/04/24/united-will-demand-a-fee-for-wayne-79310-28572782/ United will demand a fee for Wayne WAYNE Routledge is heading out of St James’ Park this summer – but not on a free. The winger was hoping to resurrect his Newcastle career after a stunning loan spell at QPR. But Alan Pardew has deemed him surplus to requirements and he will be leaving for the Championship leaders in the close season. Newcastle WILL be asking for a fee, though, despite reports in London that they have terminated the player’s contract to allow him to depart on a free. United are furious at those claims and insiders say there is no way they will let a star with two years left on his deal leave for nothing. A fee of around £1million is expected to be agreed as soon as QPR clinch their promotion – allowing Toon to recruit a couple of wide men from the Continent. United have watched Rangers highly-regarded playmaker Adel Taarabt but their interest in him will not be dictated by what happens to Routledge. LoveItIfWeBeatU
The least amount of transfer fee NUFC should "demand" off QPR for Routledge is whatever they charged us to buy him off them in the first place.

I think its meant to say "..allowing the Toon wide boys to recruit a couple of men from the Continent."

BlueStar
Scored a lovely individual goal today. Got QPR the point they believe takes them up.
womblemaster
could be staying in the championship yet..... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13244531.stm
LoveItIfWeBeatU
http://www.nufc.com/ Wayne Routledge (QPR) With confirmation that the FA had fined Rangers rather than deducting points coming before kickoff on Saturday, the Championship winners promptly lost 1-2 at home to Leeds United. It's now expected that the diminutive winger will seal a permanent return to West London, but it remains to be seen whether he'll come into consideration for United's final two Premier League fixtures. QPR's season is over so Routledge's loan is over (unless QPR are definitely buying him).
Heron
We should be looking to keep this chap until we find something that is undoubtedly better.

We could really use him for our last two games with no Tiote
JH
If they could return him and we come back into our squad, that'd be class because we could really use him. Can't see him returning though.
Cajun
Knowing us he will return, come into the side and be amazing for the last two games
David28
I wonder if he's really happy that QPR got promoted. In the end, he'll play PL football again.
Guest
Should keep him until we know if Wigan are down, then use him to get £1m off the N'zogbia fee and he can help them back up and the cycle continues.
Si
Bring him back for last couple of games and get him involved.
Guest Stephen927
He'll be full of confidence, could give us a bit of a boost to get over the line in style.
Sifu
Definitely wouldn't mind him coming back for the last two games.
Disco
As would have been the case all the time he's been away if he does come back the least he will offer is something off the bench which at the minute we badly lack, especially in the midfield area. Dave
Snippet in one of the papers today that he's gone (or going anyway) permanently. They reckon £1.5m.
Cronky
I can't see the point in playing him for the last two games, if he's going to be off at the end of the season. We'd be better off giving one of our younger players some first team experience.

Guest Chubby Jason
What was the point of this loan deal? To allow Ryan Taylor to strut his stuff on a more regular basis? Joke.
Guest BooBoo
What was the point of this loan deal? To allow Ryan Taylor to strut his stuff on a more regular basis? Joke. Pardew by all accounts told him he wouldnt be a regular, we were in the process of bringing Ireland in and his old club were sniffing around.
