I thought Onuoha was on the verge of a move somewhere? 'Cause I seem to remember us being touted as one of the clubs in for him, but then nothing seemed to happen, the rumours just stopped. Would love to see us sign him on a permanent deal, gives us cover all across the back four, and would almost certainly push Simpson out of Right Back, whether we lined up "Jose-Colo-Onuoha-S.Taylor" or with Tayor in the centre and Nedam on the right. Either way would be streets ahead of our defence as it is.

I don't understand why the media are running with this as a 'new rule' that has the likes of Man City panicking. This change has been in place for about 2 years, I'm pretty sure the clubs are well aware and are prepared with which players need to be moved on.

 

The story I read the other day was like, 'New rule stuns City into firesale' or some sensationalist rubbish like that.

Totally agree Dave - will make things into a more level playing field, but there will be an even greater scramble to get the best youngsters - Vuckic could be a major target for bigger clubs if he maintains improvement.

Just back from watching Spurs U16 play FC Mechecen U16 in the Milk Cup.  Spurs have a central defender who's already at least six foot called Janoi Donacien. 

 

I know Leicester City and West Ham were scouting players at the game.  I'm certain he'll be one of them.  Great positioning, strength, pace and athleticism.

 

We should snap him up.
