Village Idiot
Not likely is it though. No. But it'll be funny as hell. This. I'm not generally against England, but I can understand why the "Anyone but England" attitude is common. Is it really that common? I guess in the US it's not so much. Maybe I'm just oblivious. I hear a lot of "Anyone but Italy", but maybe that's just the circles I run in. I do enjoy reading the English and Italian press when their national teams fail though. We are pretty funny to read when we fail too. Although this time around they will cut them some slack since this same group of players gave us our first trophy in 40 years. As a good God-fearing Spaniard I hate the French, Italians and English (give back Gibraltar you heretic scum ) ( )
biggs
Will be interesting to see if they shake hands before the game at the weekend. Interesting to see what happens when Terry gets forward too as he is a bit nifty in the box so will Bridge pick him up but no surely not the whole worlds watching

C just to sell there bog papers when it could wait till after the tournament but they dont do that do they.

They have to sell papers after all, and if people didn't buy the rags the stuff would disappear.
macca888
And yes, I do want Bridge in the squad. He's past his best thanks to years of inactivity but he's still a very good LB. My god, you are a numpty after all. So, basically, you are happy to have a player who is past his best, playing for the national team in the biggest tournament on the planet? Words fail me other than this is up there with your usual tripe.

Ah yes, because even at 50 he'd have more ability than Danny Guthrie. Just stop it.

Words fail me other than this is up there with your usual tripe. Its all opinions as to whether Warnock/Baines/Bridge are the better player, Ronaldo give his own yet theres always some numpty who will argue the poster and not the opinion. In case reality has passed you by Rio, James, Beckham etc are all past their best but are still going despite arguably better options whereas Bridge has experience over his two rivals in a poor position for us nationally. Having said that its quite ironic that you suggest 31 year old, £40k+ per week serial crock Jimmy Bullard as a realistic summer target after a rant about players past their best...... Ronaldo
5 players pretty much nailed on to start for us at the WC are arguably past their best.
macca888
Ronaldo So, you believe Bridge is the best left back in England, do you? Even though he is past his best. Better than Ashley Cole? As for Solano, my comment was he would be useful for the remainder of the season as a squad player. I wasnt the only one who thought so either. As for Guthrie, once he can show a semblance of consistency as a creative player who can last for 90 minutes in the premiership, I might think he would be worth keeping. The jury is most definitely out on that one. As for Bullard, I threw his name in as a possible signing if funds made available by Ashley were limited. I think everyone on here agrees that our central midfield is a weak point when it comes to creativity and it would take substantial funding to sign a top quality player for that position. If funds are limited, we may not be in a position to pick and chose and Hull go down, Bullard may become a realistic option. I dont expect you to understand logic. You have shown little understanding in the past and continue to come out with contradictoary statements which make yourself such a laughable target on here. Anyway, you do add a certain amount of amusement to the forum

To save the tedium of having to read your constant attempts to troll him may i simply explain that at no point does he say that or is it too much for everyone on the forum to expect that you are capable of understanding ENGLISH? Its pretty pathetic to accuse others of lacking logic when yours is based entirely on something you dreamt up isnt it?
macca888
Roger He quoted him being the best left back in England despite being past his best. Now, correct me if I am wrong here, but if I was picking a team for the world cup, I certainly wouldnt be picking players past their best. I call that logical. Anyway, it would appear that the people that really matter dont think he is past his best despite the lad himself ruling himself out of the squad. Now, correct me if I am wrong here, Yes you are wrong, very very wrong because i even quoted the post myself. Read it, go on, i assume you are capable of that? Where does it say at any point he is the best or better than Cole? He merely says he is a very good LB. I will let you into a secret, the SQUAD has 23 players, LOGIC dictates you take TWO players of most positions with the extra place being a 3rd keeper. Its called having COVER. Instead of misusing the word LOGIC try googling the words TEAM & SQUAD and find out the very big difference eh?
