STM
Hughton mentioned something about "players coming available" the other day and Gosling certainly fits the bill. Didn't we try and sign him from Plymouth when he was a youngster before he joined Everton? Aaron Spear? Oh aye thats him. Cheers. No you were right, we were after Gosling as well, we were certainly heavily linked. Ah well, can't harm if we have spoke to his people before, mind you alot has probably changed since then. Would be a lovely little signing for us but wouldn't address next years problems.
Mistle17
De Guzman would be an excellent signing for us, but I doubt it's true. Agreed. Its possibly the laziest piece of journalism I've ever seen!
Dokko
De Guzman was the next best thing at one point. I remember some lad coming on here crying about how he's chosen Holland over Canada, he was devastated. Got to be worth a shot though. Did he leave Feyenoord or was he released? De Guzman, Perch & Gosling for £1m in transfer fees would be quite impressive.
Incognito
Both have to be worth a gander.

Willow
Whatever is said, you're no mug if you can get into the Everton team at 20 years of age. I hope we snag him, free is the best price
Yorkie
My mate used to play football with Gosling. Inorite.
ponsaelius
I'd be well chuffed if we got De Guzman and Gosling on frees like. 20 and 22? There's room for improvement and development for both of them, exactly the kind of age of players we should be bringing through.

Dr.Spaceman
The paper has just been shoved through the door and I nearly jizzed when I read the back page about Gosling.
joeyt
Reading a few Feyenoord comments on de Guzman, most of them say that de Guzman needs to prove himself in a bigger league. One says that he hopes no-one offers him a contract and he has to beg for another one at Feyenoord. My favourite comment is newcastle blijft een mooie historische club. which means,''Newcastle remains a beautiful, historic club'' Dutch fans are great

Dr.Spaceman
Headline is something like Dan the Man, and that it's us and the mackems who are leading the race. Cue him signing for Blackburn.

Ketsbaia
Sunderland have a moneybags chairman/owner/whatever he is. Go and spunk £7m on crap and let us have the freebies, please.
Super Duper Branko Strupar
Surely, even with us only being promoted, if Gosling's choice's were between us and the mackems, he just couldn't chose them, I mean, he must surely visit both places and see the players in each team. You can't look at Sunderland and go 'thats an attractive propsition, I really want to go there', you only go there if your mind set is 'first team football, decent wage, aye ill play there till I get a move away' (Kieran Richardson to name just one)

ponsaelius
I'd be pretty dissapointed if players saw Sunderland as a massive step up above us tbh.

The Chairman - Sunderland The Manager - Sunderland The Team - Sunderland The Team on Paper - Newcastle First Team Opportunities - Sunderland? The City - Newcastle The Support - Newcastle The Wages - ?? maybe Sunderland Reputation/History - Newcastle The Potential at the moment - Sunderland

Sunderland are settled, have a proven manager and a top goal scorer. We on the other hand are in a massive transition period and its being handled by fools and people who want to take a lend of the fans.
