Guest Stephen927
Must go for Ross Jarvis, especially if Wolves go down. In seriousness, would like us to go for him. Liverpool should be in for him.
taxfree
Mustapha Amini is a promising player who is good on the ball and has a decent passing game. Quick and at only 17 probably the most promising domestic youngster in Australia. Wicked afro but rumour has it he has just got it cut. Also looks like he is spending the rest of the season with Bayern Munich so I cant see him coming here. Agent seems to deny it though. The World Game understands Amini will train for up to a month with a leading Bundesliga team, rumoured to be Bayern Munich, with a view to securing a permanent move. He will use the stint to prepare for the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup in June. While Amini's agent Buddy Farah denied the club is Bayern, TWG can reveal Amini will hold discussions with a second Bundesliga club (Borussia Dortmund), an Eredivisie team and an English Premier League club. Farah, who will travel to Europe with the boom 17-year-old playmaker told TWG: “This is a perfect chance for Mustafa to train and prepare with quality players ahead of the Youth World Cup. taxfree
Been linked to a couple of players lately: http://www.insidefutbol.com/2011/03/14/newcastle-blackpool-and-palermo-keen-on-roman-hubnik/38885/ Roman Hubnik, centre back playing for Hertha Berlin. 1.92 m tall and born in 1984. Hubnik, a physically imposing centre back who is strong in the air, is expected to leave Hertha Berlin at the end of the season, despite the club looking set for a quick return to the Bundesliga, as he seeks to take the next move up in his career. Each of the three interested sides have been impressed with Hubnik’s displays this season and his price, believed to have been set at €3M by Hertha, is not an obstacle to any potential deal. http://footybunker.com/sunderland-and-newcastle-to-offer-surprise-bids-for-belgian-starlet/1385 Romelu Lukaku - nuff said(?). News from Belgium has suggested that both Sunderland and Newcastle are looking to prise Chelsea and Real Madrid target Romelu Lukaku from Anderlecht in the summer transfer window. Dave
Not seen it posted. http://www.sport.co.uk/news/Football/51541/EXCLUSIVE_Dalglish_and_Pardew_confirmed_in_Next_Van_Basten_chase.aspx EXCLUSIVE: Dalglish and Pardew confirmed in "Next Van Basten" chase Author: Nigel Brown Posted on:15 March 2011 - 12:47 Sport.co.uk can confirm that FC Utrecht striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel is a summer transfer target for Newcastle United and Liverpool according to player’s representative. While Tottenham Hotspur are also rumoured to be monitoring the Dutch starlet. Van Wolfswinkel, 22, has just returned from injury regaining his place in the first team, and the Dutchman looks set for a summer transfer tug of war with Alan Pardew, Kenny Dalglish and Harry Redknapp all considering summer moves for the forward. The player’s agent confirmed to Sport.co.uk that Liverpool and Newcastle United were looking at the player, while Tottenham Hotspur are also believed to be keeping an eye on proceedings. “There is nothing in place yet regarding a transfer for Ricky (Van Wolfswinkel). At this moment there is no update. He has returned to action and has scored a couple of times, and is coming back well from injury.” Louis Laros told Sport.co.uk. “We are still working towards a move this summer but I have nothing finalised yet. The player’s representative revealed he was informed that Newcastle Untied and Liverpool would continue to monitor the player until the end of the season. He said: “I have not spoken to either club in the past three weeks. In the winter break both clubs told me they would follow him and keep an eye on him. In the next coming months we will see, so I will wait for contact. “If there was the possibility of the Premier League Ricky would love it. But obviously we must respect the club and what they want to do in the summer. Ricky is still young and he wants to better himself, so if a club offers him a deal he will look at it. But it depends on the club, the manager, and the ambitions of the club.” Van Wolfswinkel, a regular starter for the Dutch under-21s was recently capped at full international level and is regarded as one of Europe’s hottest young talents having been closely watched by the continent's top clubs since making his debut for Vitesse Arnhem in 2008. The hitman has since moved to FC Utrecht where he has established himself as the club's leading front-man and helped them to a seventh place Eredivisie finish. The striker has scored 17 goals in his last 24 appearances in all competitions. Liverpool’s new Director of Football Strategy Damien Comolli highlighted the Dutchman as a great prospect for the future, while Newcastle United have also been confirmed as monitoring the striker since Chris Hughton was manager. Current Newcastle United incumbent Pardew has a transfer chest of £35 million from Andy Carroll’s January move to Liverpool and the FC Utrecht striker, nicknamed, “the next Van Basten” is a possible replacement for the English centre-forward. Spurs boss Redknapp is a big admirer of the forward having sent regular scouts to watch van Wolfswinkel but looks to be playing second fiddle in the pursuit of the forward with the reds and Toon army leading the chase for the talented Dutch starlet. Skeletor
I can see Liverpool's scouting team meetings: "Right so Newcastle have scouted the following players..." Leeches. Bet they have a scout permanently at our training ground too watching our players.
taxfree
I can see Liverpool's scouting team meetings: "Right so Newcastle have scouted the following players..." Leeches. Bet they have a scout permanently at our training ground too watching our players. Bit old, but fitting quite nicely here: http://www.insidefutbol.com/2011/03/06/newcastle-could-face-liverpool-opposition-in-diego-perotti-bid/38545/ Reports from Spain suggest Liverpool could be set to rival Newcastle for the signature of Sevilla winger Diego Perotti. The 22-year-old Argentine has attracted interest from St. James’ Park, with suggestions that Alan Pardew is planning a summer swoop for the Sevilla star, but it is now thought Liverpool are keeping an eye on proceedings. Newcastle, who have extensively scouted the winger, appear to still be in pole position, but the arrival of Liverpool on the scene would complicate matters, with the Argentine thought to prefer the prospect of a move to Anfield.
