Dave
Why would we want someone who's crocked btw? Because he's for F-R-E-E. Very expensive if he's crocked. And as pointed out above, he sounds like a bit of a money grabber tbh.
Guest je85
Villa managed to sign downing. plus liverpool with aqua Yeah I've never understood the whole medical thing while injured players still get signed, like Obertan at Man U had some weird problem that the Bordeaux physios never picked up and they've had to be working on that. Yorkie
He's young and costs nowt. He won't be available for a while but we need bodies in our squad. He could turn out to be a really good player, too. It's extremely low-risk, in spite of the injury, imo.

ElDiablo
^ Gooch This might be why he's denied the Cleverley thing. Gosling would be a good signing imo.

Yorkie
Roeder denied the Gooch signing a fortnight before the end of the window, so it will have been genuine at the time. When it got to January 29th and we hadn't got a centre-back we badly needed, it was like... "shit". Last resort.
Cajun
Isn't gosling supposed to be leaving for more football rather than money? The everton fans on here said he would be something like 9th choice there.
SteveMc
He played 17 games before March last year so he can't be that far down the pecking order.

Dave
As if he'll have already agreed to join anyone. He only left Everton today, why wouldn't his agent hawk him around for a few weeks?
Dokko
As if he'll have already agreed to join anyone. He only left Everton today, why wouldn't his agent hawk him around for a few weeks? Officially left, guess he's known for some time he's leaving and its only come out due to the approach to the FA to see if he's in the right and can do so. We could have been in talks for a bit and already sold the club too him. Meanwhile back in the land of the living...

He (or rather his agent) would be stupid to accept an offer so soon without seeing if he can drum up some more interest. By interest I mean money. Who knows we could have offered a very good deal, with him being injured till November its going to hold him back slightly, especially for medicals and clubs may not want to cough up a large signing on fee, we might be willing to take a chance. Ashley is if anything a chancer.
Guest orang
He played 17 games before March last year so he can't be that far down the pecking order. He's only started 18 games in his Everton career and they were nearly all due to injury. In midfield he's behind Arteta, Pienaar, Osman, Fellaini, Cahill, Bilyaletdinov, Heitinga, Rodwell, Neville and even Anichebe.
relámpago blanco
Villa managed to sign downing. plus liverpool with aqua Yeah I've never understood the whole medical thing while injured players still get signed, like Obertan at Man U had some weird problem that the Bordeaux physios never picked up and they've had to be working on that. They use medicals to find out any injury and what implications it may have. If wayne rooney broke his ankle and it was scanned etc and they said he'd be out for 3/4 months then you would sign him. Clubs sometimes sign injured players, you may bid for a player (downing for example) knowing they are injured but you'd still give them a medical to make sure they don't have any chronic problems as you would do the same to a player who you didn't think was injured yet you would also seek out shorter term injuries. From what I gather the medicals are designed on a case by case basis. With some, you may see them performing routines at the training ground, some may just have a few scans, it depends on what the club wants. Oh shit Spain have just scored!
