Had a cracking day, Trent before hand, paper bag fight at half time, bit of sing song and I'm sure I saw us lift up a shiny silver thing at the end, looked somewhat like a trophy, but we're Newcastle so it couldn't have been.

Am I still a trophy virgin in reagrds to Newcastle? I feel like the club's first trophy (in my lifetime I mean) being the second division title is a bit like having your first time with a prostitute.

That's 3 in my life time then, counting '93 as well.

Oh actually 4. According to Wiki, we won something called the "Kirin cup" in 1983, not that I'd ever heard of that until about 1 minute ago and am still very little the wiser even after reading up about it!

I'm in the same boat but your analogy's a bit off. It's more like picking up the fat bird at a party everyone's trying to avoid but you're desperate for some first-time skin-on-skin (skin-on-metal) contact so you take the easy way out and get her drunk enough to score at the end of the night. And it doesn't matter if you were crap in bed as she's easy and it's your first time. And it still feels so damn good. :)

I would say we were great in bed, but she was ugly as fuck.

I managed to catch Ryan Taylor showing a bit more emotion! Shock horror!

Just got back in and after a very good first half, we were so sloppy in the second. Their goal looked offside at first, guess the Football League Show will clear it up.

Enrique had some surprisingly poor moments, but Jonas was absolutely fantastic. He completely tore them apart at will. Nice to see Nicky Butt win a penalty in his last match, altough its fitting that the last pass he made went straight to Ipswich.

It was amazing to finally see us get some semi-glory, but I didn't think the atmosphere was that great. Also, too many Roy Keane chants. Nice to hear SBR stuff though.

CAMPIONE!

CAMPIONE!

First 20 mins we were awful. Ipswich had 3 good chances and should of scored, they deserved their first goal tbf.

Lovenkrands was poor, hardly had a sniff all afternoon and was rightly subbed.

Guthrie's passing was poor most of the day, i think he gave the ball away 3 times in the first half

Enrique was average today, looked a bit sluggish

Jonas needs to stop trying to take on the whole team, he gave the ball away too much instead of passing. If he does that next season the PL players will rape him.

Routledge played well, our right hand side looked more dangerous than the left hand side today, he was my MOTM

Harper's positioning seemed poor for their first goal, he seemed to be too far to his left hand post which made it easy for their striker to put it accross him into the open part of the goal

Coloccini was a beast as usual

Williamson played decent too

Connor Wickham looks like he's going to be a very good player. Good job he couldn't be in the box for his fantastic throw ins. I worry about next year against the likes of Bolton and Stoke, when it comes to defending set pieces

It was funny as owt watching Nile stroll out to get his medal with his trademark gangsta walk.

I take it you missed the big protective boot he was wearing then?
