TaylorJ_01
If he plays Milner then I'll be pissed off. It's not a time to reward hard workers.
Disco
Something tells me this team will lack width... Big oweness on Cole and Johnson it would seem. Good make ourselves vulnerable on the counter if they're getting forward not that it would make much difference if Johnson was in position.

bowlingcrofty
I'd have Milner over Lennon every day. Lennon is shite, zero brains and zero end product.
Dave
Lennon was one of the form players in the country before he got injured.
TaylorJ_01
I'd have Milner over Lennon every day. Lennon is s****, zero brains and zero end product. Lennon is probably the only winger in the squad with consistent end product.

ponsaelius
I'd have Milner over Lennon every day. Lennon is s****, zero brains and zero end product. Better than zero pace, zero end product that you get from Milner on the wing. "Burrrtt, he workss haardd!!!" Milner in the middle at all times, not as a wide man. Elliottman
Lennon was one of the form players in the country before he got injured. But has been awful this tournement. Did i read none of his crosses have reached an england shirt yet. Two games, not one cross has met a team mate!!!

Caz
Johnson and Cole are in for a long 90 minutes as not going to have much support !!!
Robster
I'd have Milner over Lennon every day. Lennon is s****, zero brains and zero end product. Lennon is probably the only winger in the squad with consistent end product. Its been sadly lacking in the WC though. One particular position he got into and wasted (in the first half against the USA) still annoys me now.

Wullie
I think the pace of the other villa players is what has helped milner so much, giving him time and space to work in. This team looks as one paced as he is.
Guest Phil K
I've got a fiver on Slovenia and a fiver on a draw Cover all bases, as the Yanks say. Hope you lose both, BS. I think the pace of the other villa players is what has helped milner so much, giving him time and space to work in. This team looks as one paced as he is. Always been truly baffled at how many people Milner can fool ALL the time, and your comment seems more accurate than we usually hear when people talk of Milner. I personally don't rate him at all. And, hope Im wrong big time, but think he'll hinder more than help England today.

I think there has been more from SWP when he has come on tbh.

Agree, if you have pace you can play there, he doesn't. As he has no pace you need guile (Solano) , doesn't have, or good consistant crossing ability (Beckham), doesn't have. I could understand if Slovenia had a Maicon esque LB and he was picked to nullify him but I'm fairly certain Jokic who i believe is their LB doesn't have this quality. He is massively overrated in the media, he is a decent CM but no good as anything else. The idea that he is a utility player has damaged him and all the teams he plays in. ponsaelius
E------Rooney--Defoe--------N L---------Gerrard---------------E O--Milner--Lampard--Barry--L C------Terry----Upson---------G ------------James----------------- Maybe something like that? Relying on the fullbacks for width? I just don't want to see Gerrard or Milner in wide positions...
