John Terry reinstated as England captain

Recommended Posts

Always been average at International level but totally found out today.

Caught miles out of position so many times today it was untrue.  Specifically twice in the first 30 minutes, first 2 goals were his fault.  Even for the third, what the f*** was he doing receiving a throw in up at the other end of the pitch near their goal line.  I called it straight away "Terry out of position again, watch them break on the counter and score."  Absolute shambles at the back all match.

Shame Rio got injured, otherwise he would have been playing and Terry would have been dropped for his moronic outburst and there would have been a bit of composure at the back.

A fit Woody is better than JT and Rio tbh.

No chance, Woodgate has all of Terry's weaknesses. And he's an even bigger prick.

nonsense, utter nonsense - woodgate would have been one of the finest defenders in the country's history if it wasn't for his injuries

dickhead yeah, but in terms of ability is in a different league to terry

a bigger prick, shows how much of an ego you have if you think that

woodgate i still maintain is the best CB i've seen in my life when at NUFC

I agree about Woodgate, I also agree that he's a much better defender than Terry.

I've met him, you haven't. Most who've come into contact with JW wouldn't care if he got hit by a bus tomorrow.

Shockingly kneejerk, I'm no massive fan but Terry has been one of the best defenders around for 6 years now.

So he's a useless defender because 'you've met him'?

How does that work?

Its not that hard to look good when most of the opposition is trying to stop your team from scoring.  How much pressure does Terry actually get?

nice piece in the independent on saturday by brian viner about simon davey, the new hereford manger and manager of barnsley when thety beat liverppol and chelsea in the FA cup, about how rafa had been "the least gracious of losers whilst at oakwell" but avram grant could "hardly have been more gracious" and about john terry "he made his way to the home dressong room and offered the exultant players his congratulations, telling them they had thoroughly deserved tyheir voctory and that he hoped they would go on to lift the cup"
