High Five o
Its pathetic just being linked with him.... If this is the standard of our summer signings, we might as well just give up...

Foluwashola
Who in their right mind would reject £1 million for JLS Would accept a crunchie and a shiny blastoise for him tbh.

Dokko
Was he even starting for BW at the end of the season? He made one appearance under Coyle and is on a free in 12 months and is 29 years old and done nothing in the game, yet they reject £1m? Who's more crazy? Us for bidding or them for rejecting? Mike
Why would they accept what is presumably our first offer? Takes some real balls to do that. Although if we come back with a larger offer...
Dave
Why would they accept what is presumably our first offer? because they want rid? They'd still be stupid to accept our first bid. Same as we'd be stupid to bid what we think he's really worth *gulp* to start with.

Same as we'd be stupid to bid what we think he's really worth *gulp* to start with. Really we can't be bidding more than that, there's no room, this must be our top bid if it went in at all, and we've only found out about the final bid. Hopefully we walk away and find another target, fingers fuking crossed, i'd rather see Germany whop us 5-0 on Sunday than have us pay more than £1m for Samuel in our current financial position. Fuck'n hell. Goes from bad to worse. Saying that when we're linked with putting a bid in for a player these days we rarely buy them. e.g. Moses & Beckford
Guest WashyGeordie
Would rather we bid £1mil for A. O'Brien if we're going for a 'versatile' defender, if SSN is anything to go by with JLS being versatile. But i reckon it's bollocks anyway.
Teasy
Why do most of you assume this is true? If it was something positive you fuck heads would never believe it
Ketsbaia
Samuel is crap imo. Glad theyve rejected it. Dont want what little money we do have spent on dross like that.
Ronaldo
Rather Gunter, though he'd cost double that.

madras
samuel looked ok for a long time at villa but has gone backwards at bolton. one way to look at it is he would be cover for both full backs and we have a bit of cash, the other way is he's the first choice left back as enrique is to be sold. Dave
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2010/06/24/chris-hughton-confirms-jlloyd-samuel-enquiry-72703-26716502/ Chris Hughton confirms Jlloyd Samuel enquiry Jun 24 2010 by Mark Douglas, Evening Chronicle CHRIS HUGHTON has confirmed that Newcastle United have made an enquiry about Bolton's versatile defender Jlloyd Samuel - but says he is just one of a number of players he's targeting. The United boss is moving closer to a breakthrough in the transfer market and admits that he made a phone call to Owen Coyle to ask about the Trinidad & Tobago international and other Bolton players this week. But he played down talk of United tabling a formal offer for 29-year-old Samuel, who would provide useful back-up at both full-back positions. “I can’t say there hasn’t been a phone call to see what the situation is (with Samuel). But it has not gone as far as a bid, definitely not,” he told the Chronicle. “He would have been probably one of a few players we’ve enquired about from that club even. At the moment we are in the process of finding out the availability of certain players and he was one of them. “But I can say that it is nothing more than that at this stage.”
