ExiledGeordie
Saylor is more important for this match against the high balls and to counter their "style" of play.
madras
Caulkin tweeted that he's out yesterday. Judging from Pardew's comments on Taylor and him - Tioté sounds very unlikely to play. Guthrie might have played well at Blackburn, but it's Cheik's steel we'll miss. Unless Guthrie comes up with a Brian Kerr/Jamie McClen/Claerence Acuna from the old days and plays a blinder just for the sake of it. harsh on acuna. Theregulars
Is it just a one game thing or long-term? This I reckon. Yeh I'm travelling up to watch Everton game on Saturday, if he's not playing I'll be plenty gutted.

David28
Wasn't missed yesterday, thanks to Guthrie. Still an absolute must that he'll play against the Manchester sides where we - in normal circumstances - won't dominate the midfield as much.
Christmas Tree
Hopefully we can afford to let him rest against Everton and then we have the international break so he can come back raring to go.
Sifu
Think we do need the lad back for Everton tbh.
Hanshithispantz
Unlike Stoke, Everton have decent central midfielders and they actually use them, resting Tiote would be fucking idiotic unless there's a chance his injury will recur.
ExiledGeordie
Seems like it was a fairly close call for Stoke so I would've thought (wild speculation) that he'll be available for Everton.
JH
There's absolutely no reason to not play him. We need him on the pitch.
Anderson
Hopefully we can afford to let him rest against Everton and then we have the international break so he can come back raring to go. Surely the fact an intentional break follows the match is more a reason to play him rather than rest him?

Get him ready for the Manc/Chels triple header.

Cajun
There's absolutely no reason to not play him. We need him on the pitch. Guthrie did well but lets not get carried away, we need to play our best players whenever we can (a few exceptions like Raylor at the moment tbh). Guest
He has to go back in against Everton man. Guthrie did ok but let's face it, we'll face tougher tasks than Whelan & Delap, and in games where the central midfield is actually used.
