BottledDog
The injuries are just getting silly now, and January can't come soon enough. The big worry is whether any of the players we'd targeted would still be interested if we continue in the God awful manner in which we're playing at the moment. Never mind that, why exactly will the prices be lower now we're desperate? Half of the ones we seem to be linked with are freebies at the end of the season, so I'd hope so. One positive is that we can pretty much guarantee any potential centreback a starting spot at the moment.

Dr Venkman
Appalling fitness record, actually feel sorry for him because he is a committed player for all his faults, I thought he was brilliant in the first half of last season. Unfortunately though he cant be relied upon, and frustratingly, we all knew that.

That's an atroicious record and it makes our decision not too buy a centre back even more absurd.
Dave
Why spend money when you can just hope injury-prone players will avoid injury and hope Championship players will play like Premier League players?
Guest neesy111
That fitness Last 4 seasons: 21 out of 46 14 out of 38 14 out of 38 11 out of 24 (on 1/2/2013) Less than Owen? The College Dropout
He hasn't always been a first teamer. He spent a good while on the bench our first year back iirc.

Lush Vlad
Before he got injured last season he looked like he had ironed out a lot of his flaws and improved massively. This season for me he's reverted to type and is getting turned too easily and seems to be marking space a lot of the time. The defending for Maritimo's equaliser was horrendous. Just squares him up, gets flat footed, then throws his hands up in the air and stands still Real pub league stuff.

AyeDubbleYoo
Back just in time to stop us having to buy another centre-half! Is anyone convinced this won't happen? If we don't buy a CB it's ridiculous. Colo is playing in every competition every week, Taylor is always injured and Williamson is beyond awful. I'm hoping even Ashley will see this need. Dave
But then we'd be paying for four first team centre backs. I think we should stick to our principles and save the money.
Varadi
But then we'd be paying for four first team centre backs. I think we should stick to our principles and save the money. Well if we assume Colo and Taylor are both purples maybe we can go for some backup that's just mauve?
AyeDubbleYoo
But then we'd be paying for four first team centre backs. I think we should stick to our principles and save the money. I'm worried we might do that obviously. Even if Williamson is shit and Taylor is injury-prone, they both technically occupy places and take up money. oldtype
Really don't think we'll buy a center back in January. That would make too much sense. I accept that some aspects of the club's transfer policy are necessary, but it's ridiculously frustrating from a fan's perspective.
Guest bimpy474
Our other problem is we dont have a proper young decent centre half, around the age of 20-22, who comes in for games alongsige an experienced player like Colo in certain games to learn his trade. I know they rate Remi Streete but its too soon for him yet. That and Mike Williamson is shit. He isn't ok as back up. He is shitter than the shittiest shitter.
