Might be a massive Giggs but someone said on another forum that a Nigerian spokesperson talking about Shola's long term international future said:

''Ameobi is 31. A lot of our 20 something year old players are older than he is".

  The only good thing to come out of this is hopefully the useless big plank will be far too knackered to play again at the weekend

One of my workmates is Nigerian. I started to talk to her about the wonders of Shola and how she should look forward to the coming years

Did exactly the same thing!

She's an Arsenal fan and looked at me like a mad man. I'm going to have some fun teaching her to love Shola.

I thought Urdu was Pakistani, but on wikipedia-ing it you're right.

I thought Pakistan used to be part of India though didn't it?

Sikhs are from Punjab which was divided during the partition. The few sikhs in pakistan speak Punjabi and possibly Urdu, but the majority of Sikhs (19 mill in India and half a mill in the UK) speak Punjabi, not Urdu.

And the 2 pakistan things - short story :

India was divided up in 1947 into India and Pakistan (east pakistan - now bangladesh and west pakistan - now pakistan)

Bangladesh was formed in '71 after a freedom struggle and a war between Pakistan and India.

Although Urdu is the official language of Pakistan, Punjabi is widely spoken, which isn't a surprise considering the Punjab region makes up over half the population of Pakistan

Looks like he is going to the African Cup of Nations (provided he stays injury-free until then):

Confirming his side's plans ahead of the African Cup of Nations Finals next month, Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi said on Wednesday that he expected Newcastle's Shola Ameobi to be part of his 23 man squad.

Nigerian media reports clam that the Magpies striker and other European-based players have been set a deadline of Friday January 4th to join up with their colleagues in a training camp out in Portugal.

Confirmed squads are then required to be submitted by the following Wednesday, ahead of the Finals which get underway on January 19th.

Hoody blell
