SEMTEX
What point are you making? By its very nature, a cup competition is very winnable because you don't necessarily have to beat anyone that's any good. Told you so.
Decky
Can we just declare this and forget about it?

Pilko
Fucking fix that, one league 2 side in there and ski slope nose picks them at Anfield.
Wullie
Ah well, it'll be a good experience for the youngsters. We play a similar team to the Accrington game and they'll get torn a new arsehole. It's not an experience at all, it'll probably crush them. Aye we'll need to play a strong side to avoid a humiliation.
Guest Geordiesned
If we field the same line up again any Chelsea line up might put 10 past them!
broonalegeordie
wey, hope we play the kids, then when we lose it doesnt matter, as it was only the kiddies

Ishmael
We should consider this a training exercise in preparation for the two league encounters.

Big Geordie
Yup - seems of recent that we always pull one of the bigger sides away in recent cup draws. Concentrating on the league it is then!
LesPaul
Fuck it, not like we would ever win the thing anyway. Good experience for the young lads. Now let's concentrate on staying up.

Cunning_Linguist
I say bring it on . . . . . . . . . it's only Chelsea after all! If the fixtures are to be played w/c 20/09/10 that means Chelsea will have played Blackpool before and are due to have Manchester City AWAY the game after so anything could happen IMO! merlin
Not bothered about the LC this season...if we stay up, we can get involved in things like that next year. We don't need injuries from this competition.

They need all the confidence they can get. Stick them against a free scoring Chelsea side and it'll be 10-0 at least - how is that good for them at all? Well if it's not the boys getting battered, it'd be our starting XI getting beaten. I don't give a shit whether the youth are sad for a week or two, I care whether the starting XI lose morale, or get injured. The game is lost already, and our first team is the priority. Guest Wally_McFool
I think NUFC could well get a good result at Chelsea. Their focus will be on not messing up in the Champions league so they will definitely have a load of reserve players in the team against us. Put it this way, we will have far more chance of knocking Chelsea out in either of the next two rounds than we would in the quarters or semis of the Carling Cup.
