I'd consider giving:

Routledge  Nolan  Tiote  Barton

a go.

I think Barton's delivery from the right has been very important. Why cut our crossing potential in half when we have Andy Carroll in the box?

Because it's not like he'll be playing rugby if switched to the left? He'll still be the same player and can cut inside and cross (much like his freekicks from the left which have created a goal or two this season).

I'm not sure why you're laughing. To cut inside you need that extra few seconds and Barton isn't quick or skillful enough to create those extra few seconds regularly. Routledge would be good on the left for this reason.

I'm laughing because you're talking as if I'd just suggested Barton should go play for the Falcons. It's the left hand side of the pitch as opposed to the right - I don't think he'd have that much trouble over that side.

This rugby analogy is very tedious. My points still stand anyway. While I understand he can still operate on the left he's much, much better suited on the right.

Well dur.

`he's f***ing awesome and I won't hear otherwise.`

bury ur heed in the sand alot do you?

Just seen this. :spit:

Your grammatical prowess notwithstanding, I watch the team every week. I think he's brilliant. I won't deny he has poor games sometimes but so do all of our players. I think he's great, actually, and I think we're lucky to have somebody, in my opinion, of such quality. There are areas he could improve but so could the vast majority of our first team and squad. I said when we got promoted that the key to survival were him, Nolan, Barton, Carroll and Routledge. The only one I'll admit i was wrong about was Routledge.

Anything else?

Jonas has been awful in his offensive duties over the last few games, seems to have lost a bit of confidence...

Can't fault his tracking back and covering, and the guy never hides from the ball, always willing to receive in awkward situations.

one of his best attributes is (was?) his ability to hold up the ball for a few seconds on the wing whilst we regrouped, not giving it away very easily.

Come on Jonas! perk up mate! I know you can!!!

Aye, but the camera views and edited TV packages really do flatter his performances at times. People talk about his work rate and energy, but he's standing still most of the match. Several times today he was standing in the way of his own player.  :thdn:

He looked at a different level today, unfortunately it was a level below the rest of the team - truly awful today summed up as he megged the full back and with loads ot time/space just found one of their players with the pass

Fairshout as his tracking is not once what it is but I would still say runs around a fair bit for a winger. Not in the Giggs class but a lot more than most.
