ponsaelius
If they don't screw it up Belgium should be fun to watch in the upcoming WCs/Euros. I'd imagine there's a chance of screwing it up again. They can never get a settled side, and the young players all have ridiculous egos.
Guest Heneage
Gillet Alderwield Kompany Van Buyten Pocognoli Vertonghen Defour Felliani Hazard Lukaku Dembele Bench of Mirallas, Legear, Witsel, Simons, Lombaerts Mingnolet, Vadis Ofoe. Really good young team in the making there, sadly it won't come to fruition.

Guest Heneage
Jesus christ yeah him to. Boyata coming through too and Da Laet. Has there been a better international team of individuals that's failed so spectacularly?
ponsaelius
The likes of Mertens and Chadli you haven't even mentioned. They've got an exceptional generation coming through atm, but it's being severely wasted.

Ketsbaia
This crop of Belgians is extremely exciting, but you just know they'll still mess it up. They could take on the world if they wanted to.

TRC
Was talking about this the other day, might stick a bet on them to win the Euro's then lay it when the odds drop.
ElDiablo
I put a few quid on them to win 2012 ages ago, got about 110/1 I think. They really do have a very good side in the making.

Not even when we had Puskas, Kubala and Di Stefano all playing for Spain

Has there been a better international team of individuals that's failed so spectacularly? Yeah the Portugal golden generation was a lot better than that crowd. Dare I say so was England's. themanupstairs
Would they take Guus Hiddink on as manager? If they do, they can be a bit special in 3 yrs time.

That's a pretty strong group, is a shame either one of them or Turkey will have to miss out.
ponsaelius
Would they take Guus Hiddink on as manager? If they do, they can be a bit special in 3 yrs time. They've recently had their fingers burnt with fellow Dutch journeyman Dick Advocaat, who did a very poor job. They've gone with a more known quanitity this time round with a Belgian who managed them back in the 90s, but he hasn't had the best of starts either. Anyway, Hiddink is contracted to Turkey atm. Guest Heneage
I do love watching Eden Hazard and Defour on youtube. I'm always surprised of claims of ego clashes as Hazard comes across as quite a normal young guy.
Ameritoon
Thinking of the Belgium NT's future gets me all hot and bothered. They can be so good. Wish they didn't have such a difficult qualifying group for Euro's.

Dave
"We don't want to do any business," said Pardew, who took over from sacked Chris Hughton earlier in December. Last week Pardew stressed that young home-grown striker Andy Carroll, now an England player, will not be sold. "Part of my first week or so here has been spent trying to analyse what is the situation with the players we have and to try to secure their positions before we start looking elsewhere," added Pardew. "That's been my main focus, rather than looking at other players who could raise the level here." Nobody in either then?

Ronaldo
After what I heard on SSN a couple of hours ago, i'd say it's very unlikely we'll sign anyone.
Pilko
I think we'll bring in a forward on loan, and one of Best or Xisco will leave. That's really all I expect, other than the likes of Donaldson, Vuckic, Ferguson, Tavernier etc maybe going on loan for a few months.

That's really all I expect, other than the likes of Donaldson, Vuckic, Ferguson, Tavernier etc maybe going on loan for a few months. I would consider it a success if that's what happens. Keep all the important players, add a short term goal scoring solution, and get rid of some wages (more so if it's Xisco). Can't ask for much more.
