Realistic Transfer Targets January 2011

Recommended Posts

They have no incentive to loan him out to us unless we were paying all of his wages and a handsome loan fee as well. He's not a prospect they have to develop so there's no reason they can't just have him rotting on the bench.

There's little love lost between us and Redknapp as well.

Whatever way we end up getting him he'd be pretty costly financially.

Redknapp's already said this week they are looking to get Keane out. Apparently he will take a pay cut in order to get a loan move according to the Mail:

Bloody typical. Every news organisation under the sun says 'HBA to Newcastle, he'll sign next week' and the Chronicle still sit on the fence

Even more surprising is the fact that it's wrote by the same people who write the Journal and the Sunday Sun who all think it's going to happen.

Wonder what has changed his mind.

He didn't want to come to us in the Summer, yet wants to come to us now.

Snubbed us then, so why not now.

Keane?

The Pardew factor, surely.  :frantic:

No, seriously, I think in summer he wouldn't have thought that his chances in the first team would be that limited.

Yeh definitely the Pardew factor.

Yeh, i agree with you, i am sure he thought he would have played more games than he had.

I have always thought Robbie Keane is a very good footballer, and he does work hard for the team too.

Robbie Keane has been s*** since he went to liverpool... If he can get his form back to pre-liverpool time then it would be worth it... but he is a massive gamble.

Getting him on loan until the end of the season isn't really a massive gamble, if he's shite then he goes back to the spuds in the summer.
