Guest Ridzuan
It doesnt matter whether they tuck their shirt in or out, just like it doesnt matter if Chris Hughton wears a suit or not for a match.
bulivye
always tuck mine in, just habit rather than being taught to. Not really bothered and don't think it should be obligatory as you are imposing a "style" rather than teaching some sort of discipline or other. By this I mean who says having your shirt out is "untidy", I would say that any under-40 would disagree but any over 40 would probably think that in the last century this would have been totally unnacceptable...Sign of the times more than anything... Good thread tho'. i'm over 40 & never tucked my shirt in on the pitch. still don't.

Cronky
I was told by a teacher that only fools like Best and Law played with their shirts out. Just thought I'd show my age.

Gash
Always tucked in myself, but i think it's irrelevant for players and just a preference.
Village Idiot
I was a goalie and played untucked. My manager wanted us to play with tucked in shirts but I always argued that with all the jumping and sliding for saves it came out on its own. cubaricho
Always have mine tucked in because it's easier to show the ref that your shirt's being grabbed that way.

Ameritoon
When I played in school and for club a few years ago the wanted us to have it tucked in at kickoff, then after that point we'd all untuck them. No clue what the point was, as they even told us if we untuck them right away, no one will care.
