STM
Krul Simpson Campbell Colo Enrique Tiote Barton Guthrie Jonas Ameobi Carroll Aye, because Guthrie on the wing worked really well on Saturday. Do you know there is a difference between home and away games? Probably not.

Guthrie was off the pace and congested the central midfield, whilst leaving our worst player horribly exposed. Simpson might cope better but he'll be rusty too. He also didn't answer my question on the difference between home and away games or are we ignoring that the impetus at home is different that of away games. The same team could perform differently in one environment to another. You say yourself that Guthrie congested the midfield, this is why i would play him, even if we lose a little of attacking flair (in which Routledge hasn't offered so far). I agree Perch is shit, that's why i wouldn't play him.

We'd be more likely to go for: Krul Simpson Campbell Colo Enrique Barton Tiote Ranger Nolan Jonas Ameobi which after 5 minutes of pressure on us would become Krul Simpson Campbell Colo Enrique Ranger Barton Tiote Nolan Jonas Ameobi

I quite like the idea of Ranger on the wing, put him up against a fullback like Illunga and he'll have a field day in the air with the crossfield diagnal (Enrique, Barton). Quite like Williamson, has done well so far - would rather keep him in over Sol until he does something worthy to give Sol a chance.
CaliMag
I am unconvinced that Ranger is a better choice than Routeledge. As has been mentioned before: this switch seems to be overly optimistic.

Simpson was slaughtered more often than not last season for being a poor defender in the Championship, not that I agreed as he had no protection in front of him, Perch has had the same problem so far. I'm unconvinced too, but as I've had pretty conclusive proof that Routledge has lost all confidence (if he had any to begin with), I can't see how Ranger could be any worse. At the very least, he'll win something in the air and provide some extra height at set-pieces. Routledge has been a complete non-event.

Ranger also gives away the ball in dangerous areas playing out wide, and is sloppy in possession, based on the Chelsea game.
