ryanegg
O'neill's Goalkeeping coach left with him at villa, hopefully the 2 of them come in instead of that fool Pardew. I seriously think ashley is just playing games with the club and doesnt give a shite about us.

Wullie
Can't believe anyone who knows anything at all about football would want Martin O'Neill. Surely he's been exposed for what he is?

Like an Irish version of KK, at the slightest sign of adversity he'd be off...... a PERFECT fit!
ponsaelius
Can't believe anyone who knows anything at all about football would want Martin O'Neill. Surely he's been exposed for what he is? Still take him over Pardew like
guitarhero123
This decision is tough to take. Hughton, thanks for what you've done. Pardew won't be appointed...Ashley is a business man, and a successful one too - if he makes this decision, attendances are going to plummet, and he knows this... Although he's an stupid, he isn't that stupid. He may be shocking at PR, but all he is going to be thinking about is making £££ - and Pardew is not going to make this football team (business) profitable. IMO he must have someone else lined up, that they have agreed a deal with.
Superior Acuña
Coincidence that it's the day after he ditched the suit?
dinotheprehistoricgeordie
Ronaldo are you actually serious? We've been on a bad run recently but you don't f***ing sack your manager after the first bad run of your season, it's completley mental. How can he be serious? the only person in this forum who support the decision ...... Hate him I said yesterday that I thought he was on the verge, but I also said I didn't support it. I also said in this thread that it was too soon. How much more do you couple of idiots want? Sorry didn't read what you wrote yesterday I don't really follow what you say religiously. I jumped the gun a bit but your post did imply that it was the right thing to sack Hughton and your 'cracks appearing' after two games comment pissed me off
Ronaldo
Wouldn't want O'Neil. I'd hate to think we'd finish 6th.
Wullie
Wouldn't want O'Neil. I'd hate to think we'd finish 6th. We'd have to spend £100m first though. Then 6th after another £100m.
ponsaelius
Wouldn't want O'Neil. I'd hate to think we'd finish 6th. Yeah, like O'Neill would get us 6th with our budget
dinotheprehistoricgeordie
The thing is out of the people being touted for the job MON is one of the best options. Personally I would love Moyes but that just isn't going to happen.
Ryan_Taylor
Wouldn't want O'Neil. I'd hate to think we'd finish 6th. With our money
Ronaldo
He'd keep us up, at the very least. It's an improvement.
Wullie
He'd keep us up, at the very least. It's an improvement. On Hughton? I don't think it is. It's his incredibly expensive squad that are below us and took a right royal arse-kicking in August.

ponsaelius
Wouldn't even guarentee that to be honest. Imagine his repetitive crossing numbers game with our wingers?

Guest Howaythetoon
Wullie is bang on, O'Neill is a fraud, an average manager in a gigantic fucking olympic sized pool of average managers currently in the game. I wouldn't want him here.

Tbf, he's a Billionaire, he may not know football but somethings triggered this. He won't appoint someone like Pardw, Curbs, it'll be someone with some kind of prestige, whether that be a shit manager or not.
NG32
I honestly think the players should strike to show their dismay. That would probably be the only thing that could get to Ashley. Yeah that would be really good.
