He's well out of this place. Hope he finds a club that deserves a man and a manager like him. Today I am ashamed to support Newcastle United. I want my club back.

Totally, he was just building a team I was proud to be a fan of again, even if they weren't world beaters.

The idea we're going back to a circus run by Mike Ashley and whatever mercenary hasbeen he can get is deeply depressing.

Mm, haven't been proud of a NUFC team in a long time or really had time for a manager. About another 3 or 4 managers from te next vaguely likable one by recent past trends.

We owe him a lot for the way he's brought the club back, he didn't deserve this and I'm truely thankful for the fantastic job he's done in very trying circumstances. The next club to opart company with their manager, would be well advised to look at Chris, hope he's a huge sucess wherever he goes (except if it's the mackems of course :))

You made me proud to support United, gave me faith when times were grim and put some of the biggest grins on my face in years.

I'd buy you a pint any day of the week. Thanks Chris for you're undeserved loyalty and Truly Gentlemanly approach to management.

The footage of him leaving SJP had me going like. As much as I've criticised over the last few weeks, he's a fucking great guy.

I felt empty inside watching that. The only crumb of comfort for me was that our fans were shaking hands with him and wishing him the best - we, and he all know that this decision is a complete travesty.

Aye. I wish the press and that wouldn't go "They've made a big mistake, can't believe they sacked Hughton" - we didn't make this fucking decision.

Why would Ashley do this, he is a massive prick. Chris gave back this club it's dignity and took us to where we are now in the premier league (which is quite decent and if we survive we could build) with a pathetic budget and  and Ashley sacks him. What is wrong with him ?

It looked so sad when he was shaking hands with some people there. :(

I'll tell you what, There is no manager that could have got any more out of these players than Chris Hughton.

On paper, we're poor, and this is no fault of Hughtons given that he had no money. Looking back the bloke has done a fantastic job like, fantastic.
