Jayson
Hopefully it works out for him. He'll deserve a whole lot of criticism if it doesnt. Big chance for us today to push on again.
Flip
Best decision would be letting Obertan rot in the bench. Fact that Ben Arfa aint playing is terrible but at least its not Obertan instead of him.
Tachikoma
Hughton was never this fucking predictable and I will stand by this whether we win or lose. This is fucking doing my head in.
Flip
What I dont understand is how he has gone from playing well to changing tactics completely. Fucking hoofing it all the time. Its sad really.
Hanshithispantz
Fuck knows what has happened to Alan like. Are we playing 4-2-4 or something? It just seems weird how he's so reluctant to play Ben Arfa, Cabaye gets injure and the safest thing to do was bring on Abeid or Vuckic but he's made a pretty radical change. I'm not complaining like. timeEd32
He deserves some credit for going with Ben Arfa and switching the formation rather than the easy change with Abeid or Gosling. Hope we destroy them in the second half.
Guest Howaythetoon
Our tactics are fucking awful and Pardew is starting to piss me off with this and his fucking poor team selections. You're kidding no-one Alan, just stick to the simples.

Lotus
Can't bring myself to praise a guy for these changes as they were forced on him. If Cabaye was still on we'd probably looking at 0-1 deficit right now with what was our 'set up'.
Guest je85
When was the last time we went 4-3-3 for any decent length of time? Someone's just asked me if it was Owen in behind Viduka and Martins.
Cajun
Well that's us in the top 6 despite Pardew fucking up AGAIN..

As someone said above, he had other options to bring on instead of Ben Arfa, those would have been in their natural position too. So basically, that post is a load of shit. TRon
Two big men up front didn't look very good despite the result. It was only when we started to get the ball down we took a control of the game, in the first half when we were hoofing it we looked awful.
Ronaldo
6th place with a squad laced with bargain basement Championship rubbish and he gets criticised for not playing pretty enough football. Pathetic.

Pathetic. QPR were more of a goal threat despite us having a far better squad than them.
Decky
Tactics were strange and at times the midfielders didn't know where they were supposed to be playing. We were lucky it was a shite side like QPR out there today, but a wins a win.
Yorkie
We could have played any sort of footballing formula and won today. Total walk in the park, but credit to him for the changes in the second half. Although i'd have removed Shola before Best, this role he's manufactured for Perch is pretty effective. Fair play to him for that cos i, along with anyone else, had thought of him as a lost cause. Seems to work sacrificing a striker and solidifying the gaps between midfield and defence. It's not very ambitious but it's helped us on our way to a lot of points. Should've started Ben Arfa though.
James
Exactly Ronaldo. After 21 matches, to be 6th ahead of Livepool, equal on points with Arsenal, and just 4 points behind Chelsea using half a squad that was in the Championship two seasons ago is outstanding. It was always going to be a difficult game given the circumstances. Outsiders were predicting a draw. And for what it is worth, Ben Arfa had some good touches and passes, but for much of the game he was poor, wasteful and selfish. Bringing him on only changed the game because we adapted a more fluid system, but it wasn't because of him.

Bringing him on only changed the game because we adapted a more fluid system, but it wasn't because of him. So wrong. Bringing him on completely enabled us to adapt to a more fluid system, because it gave Jonas license to roam and altered the attackers' position. He wasn't poor. He was selfish at times but if he's a couple of touches away from pwning the defense like he did against Blackburn, then i'm alright with it. And as for selfish; he's an attacker so i don't have any major issues with that. It's not like he's constantly picking up the ball in the middle of the park and charging into three defenders, like he did when he first came back in the Spurs home game. He's learned that there's a time and a place, and he's not left us in any trouble in any recent games that he's played. He's showing craft, ambition and endeavour - something the rest of the squad only has in very occasional places.

Sifu
I'm glad he brought Ben Arfa on instead of one of Abeid, Gosling (the "natural CMs") as the lad changed the system and our attacking play for the better. The long ball was still annoying though and Ben Arfa should have started.
