We werent that good to begin with at the start of the season, just that little bit sharper...now most teams have  a run of games and fitness levels are up , we will find it difficult to take points like we did. Said this before and will say it again, if you want entertaining football Pardew is not the guy...he benched tevez and Mascherano, he just got no clue how to use them.

Dontooner, what a massive pile of shit. Did you miss all the pre-season fiasco? Did you miss the Ramadan thing? How the balls was our early season form just because we were sharper? Absolute desperation to find an excuse rather than admit some might have been doing a good job.

saying he benched tevez and mascherano because "he didn't know how to use them" is also utter rot

Would hate to be one of the many conflicted 'supporters' tonight - on one hand we've won against Man Utd, on the other hand Pardew keeps choosing the wrong players and keeps making mistakes.

Very brave of you to refrain from writing this in 7 or so of the previous 8 games mind Stu. You stallion of a man.

No lose situation for them really.  Everyone will forget if we do well.  If we do bad, they can enjoy it and give it 'told you so'.  Pathetic.

He's got his tactics completely wrong for a while now, there's no denying that, we've been absolutely rubbish recently. He'll probably get them wrong in the future too, but tonight he got it spot on and will rightfully be applauded for it, hopefully it continues, if it doesn't and we start dropping silly points and playing like a bunch of no hopers again then he'll be critised.

genuinely feel sorry for you if that's all you can feel after a huge win. what a clown.

Think this was Pardew's biggest win so far - we've not seen the huge kind of performances we saw under Hughton with Pardew as boss - so it's great to finally see us come out of the blocks at 100mph, put in a massive performance and intimidate the bigger team.

Eh??  I'm delighted about it.  Not sure how that makes me a clown.  Also love seeing Pardew shut some people up who seem out to denigrate him at every chance.

Absolutely nailed it. Renewed a bit of faith there cos i was having some big concerns that he'd completely altered his footballing philosophy.

More of the same please.

Spot on.

Liked his pumping up the crowd on the touchline.

Some classy goal celebrations too. Quick stop and hold camera pose after Ba's then straight back to taking notes like nothing had happened. Fuck knows how he stayed so calm, I would have grabbed Saylor from the crowd and ran down the length of the pitch with him on my back, gump stylee.
