Agent: Newcastle 'not an option' for Martin Jol

Recommended Posts

Metro going with Jol appointment by Friday and him to get £20m to spend.

Would have a w*** tbh if it happens

To be honest it's fairly likely I'll have one irrespective of who we appoint. Or even if we don't appoint anyone. Friday's a long time to go without a wank.

Director Rik van den Boog told Ajax's official website of Jol: "What it happening today does not detract from the great season we experienced last year. The team reached the group stage of the Champions League. That was very important to us all. He has developed many players.

"Many games we won in spectacular fashion, scoring lots of goals and conceding few."

That just ties in with the Chronicles take on it today - that Pardew was lined up, and the Jol resignation has taken them all (at NUFC) by surprise.

Lets hope the 'surprise' was enough to make them consider him and make an approach, even if Pardew is officially still their 'no.1 target'.

It would be trademark Mike if in the unlikely event the Jol and £20m was the plan 48 hours ago to turn around with two fingers to the fans after the initial reaction and say 'fuck you then, here's Pardew and Hayden Mullins instead'.

Newcastle able to chose between three managers currently all available and eager for a break back in Premier League football - Jol, Alan Pardew and Alan Curbishley.

Fucking hell Mike, surely even YOU can't get this decision wrong.

Can you?

The recurring joke of last two panels in Viz's Terry Fuckwitt strip are basically like every choice Ashley has made

Second last frame: "So Terry, we have two options available for your face transplant, a 24 year old male model or the dribbling dick of a festering tramp.  Which is it to be?"

Last frame: "Fuck me, Terry, you really are thick as shit."

this seems to tie in with the rumours that were circulating before Hughton got the chop. if anything Jol's resignation might just be a complication to what was supposed to be a swift appointment, as now fans and the media can point to a far more credible alternative to what looks like a pretty idiotic course of action.

This would be so similar to the 'no capital outlay' situation. Seemingly unplanned chaos that turns out with a modicum of success.
