Thespence
Great deal for Villa as he will keep them up. I know Nolan is doing the biz now but fuck me Nolan, Ryan Taylor & Lovenkrands brought in to save us from going down.

We were the villains but not one of the hypocritical bastards would have wanted him in charge of their own club.
brummie
Oliver Holt has been cringeworthy in his licking of MON's ringpiece the last few months.
TRon
Oliver Holt has been cringeworthy in his licking of MON's ringpiece the last few months. I don't know if he's mates with MON but to blatantly ignore how well he was backed financially by Lerner for two years is either sensationalism or just lack of knowledge close to the ground. Either way you can understand why he's gone from the Sunday Times correspondent to the Mirror.

Guest palnese
He runs like a fucking chicken ploughing it's way into the ground, has a heed like a threepenny bit, he's gutless, can't hold the ball up to save his life, couldn't trap a fucking sandbag, has the awareness of a lettuce, can't pass, dribble and has no chest control whatsoever. He'll score goals if your entire game plan is designed to fit his game, in short if you lump every fucking ball you get right into his path. He'll miss three out of four and your fans will be bored shitless but what the hell, he'll score maybe 15 a season, including penalties, before leaving for a "bigger" club two years hence. Mind, by then you'll be pleased to see him go. £24m smackers, we can build a new side with that. You've been well mugged. ahh the bitterness. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=560495&page=3#ixzz1BRI9AxKu
Ryan_Taylor
The 'We can build a new side with that' is the most laughable bit. No way Bruce is getting £24m....It isn't even £24m yet, and they need about £10-12m just to stand still. Leaving £6m of the base £18m to replace 'Benty'

Anderson
Daily Mail reckon Spurs will see £6m of the initial £18m by way of a £3m sell on fee and £3m unpaid instalments. Basically this leaves them without Bent or, come the end of the season when Fergie refuses to sell him, Welbeck and just enough money to sign the rest of the players they currently have on loan. Don't know how this can be interpreted as anything other than a bad deal for them. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1348447/Sunderland-boss-furious-Aston-Villa-clinch-Darren-Bent-deal-Tottenham-primed-6m-windfall.html
Ryan_Taylor
Outstanding. So thats: £18m £6m to Spurs £4m for Onuoha £2m for Elmo £4m for Mensah or a CB £2m to replace £30m worth of Strikers in Bent and Welbeck Stonking deal

Hanshithispantz
Outstanding. So thats: £18m £6m to Spurs £4m for Onuoha £2m for Elmo £4m for Mensah or a CB £2m to replace £30m worth of Strikers in Bent and Welbeck Stonking deal Tbf if selling bent means they can sign all of there loan players, who are all 1st team regulars, the it's a pretty good deal. Just looks shit as there already at the club
