Wallace
Saw on Newsnow that Steven Taylor had also been advocating Carver for the job. Seems to be a concerted effort at the moment and probably encouraged by the local media.
Nobody
So pointless asking current players what they think of him. Not like anyone is going to come out and say that he's crap
Cheshire Mag
If Carver walked out of Newcastle, he might well be headhunted by Blyth Spartans who might swoop in to snap up his services. We should tie him down quick before some top teams poach him off us. Sovereign states tbh
AyeDubbleYoo
So pointless asking current players what they think of him. Not like anyone is going to come out and say that he's crap This point applies to nearly every question asked to any professional involved in football TBH. Guest John Carvery
I'm extremely passionate about the club. Does not entitle me to the head coach role on a full time basis though.

toontownman
Barring a monumental run of crap form and finishing lower than 12th the he is getting the job full time in the summer. Madness to expect otherwise. Club and local press, certainly still seem to have a remit to push him on us and build him up. Last time hope lived here was right before Hughton was sacked. SEMTEX
"I actually went home and had a cup of tea and chip butty, that's how I celebrated. But you build on it now by getting successive wins. That's what we are aiming for."
toontownman
Press suck ups seek club suck ups for suckup interview. Any surprise all of these quoted people are the people likely struggle to Keep their jobs under a competent coach? Sick of the c list ex-players and useless suck up current players coming out of the woodwork to stick the knife in or make themselves relevant with the club. That said, I'd be lying if there wasn't a part of me that would like Steve Watson back at the club, loved him when he was here.
Disco
Would have a lot less problem if it were the foreign journeymen coming out for him so they get an easier ride than these, again shown up to be, faux NUFC fans like Bantz and Sickboy. Slim
Carver said: “He’s not featured all season – he’d had a problem with his knee. “Paul Dummett and Saido Haidara are two guys at left-back in particular who have done really well. “He was finding it a problem to get in the team. “I’ve always said that if you get in the team and do well it doesn’t matter if you are young or a senior. “Davide got a little bit frustrated with himself because he wasn’t in the team. “But the best option was to send him out on loan, and that’s what we’ve done.” Dummett is back for the weekend clash with Stoke, but Siem De Jong is out of the game. Carver said: “This weekend is a little bit too early for him. “I wouldn’t have thought he’d be involved this weekend and possibly not against Palace in midweek.”
