TaylorJ_01
If you could guarantee a good owner, yes. Be annoying if we just got Ashley's even fatter, more evil brother. Hires Ashley as manager.
Wallsendmag
I've been unsure how to describe John Carver to friends who support other teams. Eventually, the analogy I settled on was that he was Newcastle's answer to Homer Simpson. Hes lovable but dense and utterly incompetent, and the longer he stays in the job the closer I will get to a Frank Grimes meltdown. Nothing loveable about him tbh. AyeDubbleYoo
He's anything but lovable. He is dense though.

Alberto2005
Sick of the bullshit from everyone. The managers exaggerate their atrocious performances by making it sound like they're doing a good job and the journalists don't do their homework and haven't a clue what they're talking about. It's time someone started calling them out on their shit.
Wallsendmag
His 6 points from 6 games would equate to a 38 point season which would have us around the relegation zone. When you consider his 6 points have consisted of a win at a woeful Hull, a lucky draw at home to Burnley, and 2 awful performances in draws v Stoke and Palace it's a very poor start he's made (I haven't included Leicester in the cup). If, as expected, he's given the job full time in the summer expect 30,000 crowds next season followed by relegation. He's so far out of his depth as a PL manager it's embarrassing. Al Moody
I don't see him getting any more than 9 points from the remaining 13 games like.
Ketsbaia
I know this is Ashley we're dealing with, but he won't risk that TV money on John Carver - who'll soon be racking up defeats left, right and centre. While he may con the board into thinking 6 points from 6 is good, he won't be able to mask the next 2 months.

Bada Bing
I don't really share the pessimism that he might get the job. Considering how frightened the club are of relegation & Carver having absolutely no credible track record to suggest he's capable enough, I don't think he'll get it even if we scrape 10th. Relegation would be a huge possibility and gates would definitely go down. Even by our new pitiful standards he's too much of a risk.
Pilko
I don't see him getting any more than 9 points from the remaining 13 games like. It's a good thing we probably only need 6 or 7 to stay up.
Disco
It's so shit that we have to even contemplate it when we're actually equidistant off potential European places. So grim.

Worrying thing for me is the fact that we had the lead in the 3 we've drawn. Lead 3 times against Burnley - didn't win. Lead against Stoke - didn't win. Lead against Palace - didn't win. That's not just bad luck, the decisions he's taken during those 3 games when we've been sitting on a lead have meant taking 3 points when it could/should have been 9. To throw away a lead 5 times in 6 games is fucking frightening. The negativity and fear will take years to get rid of, it's the worst combination you can get - scared of losing the game and petrified when we're leading. AyeDubbleYoo
We should basically already be on 40 points, which would be good because it would be easier to stop watching.
midds
We should basically already be on 40 points, which would be good because it would be easier to stop watching. Not sure about 'should'. Sometimes teams equalise, it's football and it happens but what can't be disputed is that he's already lost 6 points from winning positions and he's only been in charge for 6 games. Going ahead in a game is vital and he's fucked it up 3 times already. If he's in charge next season then we're in deep shit.
Disco
Fair to say his inability to change things correctly have cost us against Burnley and probably Palace. Stoke was just a sheer lack of brains from everyone.

Yep if someone locally could work with a supplier that produces this kind of thing change the colours to black and white and the words Newcastle United Premier League Participants. Surely practically everyone, even those that sat on their hands while the SackPardew folks did their best to effect change, would be prepared to wear them to a game. It's a subtle yet powerful message, not offensive in any form that would warrant any kind of confiscation from the club.

Probably beam with pride to have one of those and keep it as a momento to show their carer in later life.
