Anderson
So we want Reading to win the FA Cup and City to win the UEFA Cup? Great Reading winning the cup would just mean that they go to Europe at the expense of Bolton/Stoke.
wormy
I wouldn't take 5th, tbh. Still think we've got an outside chance of the 4th CL spot.
TheGuv
Bolton for me please. The better of the two teams, i like Owen Coyle and it will show FSA that decent football can be achieved at Bolton to qualify for Europe.
womblemaster
`One of Stoke/Bolton will be in the FA Cup final.` I thought we had established that runners up no longer get a cup spot? or should i just go back on the opium...
cp40
we can forget all about this now- our piss poor home form has settled it.
jukeboxromeo
urgh, the idea of stoke or bolton in europe. .. Erm, we've been in Europe twice in the past 5 years and didn't do that badly at all. Drew away with Bayern and knocked out Atletico Madrid last time we were in it, and possibly would have got past Sporting if Megson had not decided to play a reserve team because we had a relegation six-pointer on the Sunday (which we duly lost after an inept performance). Guest BooBoo
we can forget all about this now- our piss poor home form has settled it. Four home wins has been a poor return. We have to sort it out for next season, as I think our good away form of this year will only go backwards.

wormy
Fuck sake. Just flicked onto SSN and one of their headlines is why the FA Cup draw is bad news for Liverpool. Assuming has to be because of the whole European allocation. Who really gives a fuck?
Ronaldo
All the wankers who think a scarf pinned to the ceiling makes them a football fan. It's usually a Liverpool scarf, hence the coverage.
Guest
On a plus side, I don't think players are going to choose the likes of Bolton & Birmingham over us just because of Europa League football and will probably keep us on a par with Everton & Villa this summer in terms of being attractive to new signings. JH
f*** sake. Just flicked onto SSN and one of their headlines is why the FA Cup draw is bad news for Liverpool. Assuming has to be because of the whole European allocation. Who really gives a f***? They the only ones that can finish 6th like? I must have imagined Bolton and Sunderland being so close, with the latter playing Liverpool next weekend. The bias in the British media really f***s me off sometimes. BlueStar
Fuck knows, his mum's from Lancashire but I don't think they ever lived down there. His older brother's a toon fan so God knows how he ended up supporting Bolton, just to be akward at a guess.

Guest neesy111
Totally amazed that some journalists believe 6th is a UEFA cup spot still.
SEMTEX
erm... I'm pretty sure runners up of the FA Cup don't get into Europe anymore. Thought this was the case for the last couple of years, no? edit: sack that, thats wrong. this telegraph article mislead me... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/europa-league/3023605/Back-door-route-into-Europe-is-shut-for-FA-Cup-final-losers-Football.html upon reading the actual rules, its bullshit. Colocho
So is 7th high enough to get a Europa League spot this season (assuming neither Stoke or Bolton win the FA Cup).
