The funny thing is...she made an offside decision in that game that was actually bang on. The commentators on BBC sounded condescending until they saw the replay.

They should be punished for it as it is bigoted but others are right about it being the other way around and men wouldn't care.

We see hypocrisy in racism, sexism and ageism all the time.

This "men wouldn't care" argument is nonsense, by the way.

Men haven't had years of being treated as second class citizens. White, English blokes are rarely the oppressed. It's completely different.

No it isn't. We live in an equal society, we should be treated equally. So please do shut up.

Nope.

We don't actually live in an equal society. Women are paid less, on average, for doing the same jobs. There are fewer women CEOs in business, etc and often get less recognition.

The dismissive attitude of these two clowns is a symptom of that exact same discrimination.

Remind me again... how many female referee's assistants there are in the football league?

I think we can agree, it's not exactly a level playing field.

That's just so the pitches drain the rainwater off better mate.

Sexism isn't right, just like racism isn't. The whole job bollocks is down to sexism from older people in higher positions, it's only really became an 'equal' society in the last 20/30 years so the change was never going to be radical. I'm sure there are many contributory factors we can consider which would give good reason as to why there aren't as many women in high positions.

You're missing the point.

We don't live in an equal society. Equal pay has nothing to do with specific age groups. Across the board women are paid less than men on average. You're obviously just speculating.

Also, referring back to the point at hand instead of going off on a tangent. They've still criticised a woman's ability to do something for no other reason than she is a woman. It's bigotry and can't be defended.

Saying "men wouldn't care" is a fallacious argument because men don't usually get that kind of discrimination.

It should be in the woman officials rulebook that she has to prepare a bacon buttie, tea and 3 chocolate digestives for the Man of the Match.

I would argue that men do, but they don't make anything of it.

Anyway, I'm not defending this pair of trout ticklers, they're clearly in the wrong and it's a shocking act really. I can understand why they made that assumption though...

Just kidding, obviously.

There's sense in men getting certain jobs and positions, you can't compare it to racism.

which jobs and positions ?

He won't be able to give a good answer to that question.

Uncaged shark feeder.  Wouldn't last a full month.

Did Brady not once admit that she'd slept her way to where she is today?

If she was a he this would be seen as legendary, ftr.

Wrong.  For a man to do it, he'd have to shag a lot of blokes.

The forum is surely advocating sexism through maintaining the thread title.

This.  Also, I note that Sky is subliminally propagating hegemonic masculinity, misogyny and gynophobia by employing (1) a presenter whose surname alone has phallic connotations:

and (2) a man whose head resembles a shrivelled ballsack:

I don't find what they said funny. It's proper unacceptable (and unwitty, cliched) sexism.

No it isn't. We live in an equal society, we should be treated equally. So please do shut up.

You're incredibly naive and ignorant, or stupid, if you can't see the difference in connotations of being sexist towards women and men.

For some reason it's become very fashionable recently to make all these sexist jokes on facebook recently.

Sexism is sexism mate, don't really care about the connotations, all sexism is wrong. Just like racism is racism regardless of who it is towards and what form it is in.

I find everything funny, particularly things which are controversial, so sexist and racist jokes don't bother me.

Who said I couldn't see the difference in the connotations anyway?

You're obviously very ignorant yourself, if you think that just because someone has an opposing opinion they're stupid.

I personally don't believe that if this was the other way around blokes would give a s***. It's totally f***ing irritating.

This is a stupid argument. The world isn't black and white.

I agree with the sentiment that they are allowed their opinion but they where caught, on air and should be punished accordingly. Funny thing is, they are wrong about the offside position.

They shouldn't have to apologise to anyone other than their employer.  It was a conversation off-air between co-workers/friends.  Whoever leaked the audio to the press should be fired for gross misconduct.

They should be fired for being shit at their job though. Seriously, what do they bring to the party?

Both are far from oil paintings, have limited knowledge on the game (Keys in particular) and are absolute shitcunts. Their on screen capabilities are barely groundbreaking either.

Despite being a twat, Gray is probably one of the best pundits around imo.

It could be worse and Sky could employ pundits completely void of any personality and insight i.e Southgate, Townsend, Earle....
