He was always partnered with outstanding attacking talent on the right, so he was rarely tested, and when he was he was hardly impressive. I always thought of him as Man United's weak link. But just about every time i've been to old trafford in recent years he's came over and clapped our support, despite us abusing him. One time 4 or 5 years back rooney crossed the ball into gary nevilles face, right in front of us. We erupted, even rooney laughed at him, but he still came over at the end.
