Looks like he'll still be putting in crosses for Andy Carroll.

Sweet, can't wait to see Pardew boss the midfield for us.  :clap2:

Hopefully it'll come down to whether he'd prefer to play in the same team as N'Gog or Ben Arfa, I'd like to think we have the pulling power here. If we could get Gameiro, I think it'd be in the bag, but it depends on how long Marveaux waits for before signing for someone.

f*** him. If Liverpool is after him, he's probably no good. Except some honorable exceptions,, their track record on the transfer market is not the best.

But now they have Comolli who is pretty good finding great players.

He isn't that good is he? Spurs fans didn't rate him that highly, did well at St. Etienne though.

During his time at Tottenham, Comolli was responsible for Tottenham's policy of signing some of the world's brightest young talents, bringing players such as Gareth Bale, Alan Hutton, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Giovani dos Santos, Adel Taarabt and Younes Kaboul to the club.[8] Comolli was also responsible for the signings of current Tottenham first-team squad members Luka Modrić, Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Heurelho Gomes, David Bentley (now at Birmingham City F.C on loan.), Vedran Ćorluka and Roman Pavlyuchenko, as well as Dimitar Berbatov (now at Manchester United.)[9]

Some good players there.

Some good names, yes. But the players already had a reputation when Tham bought them. Except Taarabt and Ekotto, all those players were fairly sought after, but Tham managed to buy them first. How they managed that is an open question. Comolli might be a contributor, but need not be.

The true difficulty is to pull off another Tiote..A player few people have heard about, but still manages to enhance the team. I've heard about Berbatov for years before Tham bought him. Getting him was probably about connections, but also about having the money available in correct point in time..

Getting fed up with Liverpool now

Why bother? All it suggests to me is that Dalglish is hunting bargain buys or has a pathetic obsession with players we are chasing similar to Steve Bruce. KIlgallon? How did that one work out Brucie?
