madras Posted February 26, 2011 Share Posted February 26, 2011 tbf, the rifle I've got is a .177, same one as in the picture (Air Arms S410), mine fires a .177 pellet at 700 feet per second (11.4 ft/lb), the .22 fires at around 550 feet per second, now they're more than capable of killing a rabbit at 50 yards (150ft) so, from 5 feet, it would leave slightly more than a bruise. fucks sake everyone takes an air rifle pellet to the leg as a kid as a right of passage don't they ? much rather an air rifle than a black widow catty speaking from experience.
