cp40
who needs points weve got £35 million in the bank For this season, better the 35M than an injured player who has yet to score after sold. For next season, depends on what is done with that 35M Aye, because Carroll wouldn't have been any sort of goal threat (whuch now barely exists) for us once he was back fit. Unbelievable. Some people are beyond help. I'm just stating facts, since his recovery, he has yet to score or get an assist for a team that is playing much better than us. You're just speculating So it's a fact that "for this season" it's better to have money in the bank than Andy Carroll? THAT'S speculation, and utter s***. and will be exposed as utter idiocy if we go down
The Prophet
How on earth did we manage to lose this by 4 goals? by selling our best players, and taking a sledgehammer to the only good thing left at the club- the team spirit- by sacking hughton. championshit here we come. themanupstairs
STOP f***ing ABOUT WITH THE BACK 4 MAN. Twice now. Agreed. IMO that's where we have been going wrong. After a good solid start to the season defensively, you can't come in and shake that balance. When all 4 are fit, all 4 should play. That's the Simpson, Williamson, Coloccini, Enrique lineup. For me, the problem is the fear we seem to have when Enrique isn't fit. Just play f***ing Ferguson there. Its his position after all, and he's our only other left footer. Its obvious surely? Regardless of his inexperience, it has to be better than crowbaring Taylor in there, or moving Simpson left and putting Taylor in at right back, or moving Simpson there, Raylor RB and Saylor RM, or even playing 3CB ands 2 wing backs? Mind boggling. I haven't spoken about this subject at all since he left, but I have a totally baseless feeling that we would have been alright by now (at least confidence and outlook wise) under CH. Outlook and confidence wise, I doubt it. When Hughton was here everyone was sticking the knife in and saying our home form will get us relegated. Beren
A special mention for Harper. He's never been a fantastic shotstopper and his distribution is iffy at the best of times - in fact all he has going for him was the sense of calmness and experience he brought to the back four and that he was dependable (or at least more so than Krul). Well, that's gone to pot today. Ridiculously bad performance. Horrible management by Pardew, absolutely dreadful. Poor team selection. I would criticise his tactics but we didn't seem to have any. He didn't instil them with any sense of passion or desire - we looked awkward and aimless on the ball, slow to close down or stifle them. It was as bad as the Stevenage performance. We've played poorly a lot without getting a deserved tonking a few times this season - this time it caught up with us. Anyway fuck this, getting on with the rest of my day. Lovenkrands to start in two weeks time no doubt.

Guest Brazilianbob
completely unacceptable performance, but predictable reaction from players since the club has seen fit to cancel all contract negotiations. Despite what the club say its obvious a buyer has made intentions known and contracts halted until new buyer takes over/ completes due diligence! JH
Cannot comment as I stopped caring just after half time. Should have been 4-4-2 from the off. He got it wrong again today, five at the back doesn't work.

Guest MrSundlofer
What did you expect? Everyone (except Tony Pullis) hates Stoke City and the style they play. Another result of what destroys the beautiful game.

Dokko
We could improve our squad by releasing Campbell, Smith, Harper, Perch, Raylor & Lovenkrands at the end of the season. Them not being there means they cannot be picked. It's an improvement.
