newsted
When was it last even called the Premiership? 10th August 2007 I've been banging on about this ever since, but, you know, people are thick. Not gonna go into the massively stupid things people en masse have done in that time, just join the dots.
sbnufc
Why do those 5th & 6th officials go on the same side as the linesman? Would it not make more sense to be on the opposite side?
Guest neesy111
Why do those 5th & 6th officials go on the same side as the linesman? Would it not make more sense to be on the opposite side? Aye, I've always wondered that as well. Seems stupid not have the officials more evenly spread across the pitch.
Exiled in Texas
Why do those 5th & 6th officials go on the same side as the linesman? Would it not make more sense to be on the opposite side? Aye, I've always wondered that as well. Seems stupid not have the officials more evenly spread across the pitch. It's to encourage the Referee to continue running his full diagonal. They introduced the AAR on the opposite side of the field from the AR and they found that the referee was then not getting into a good position (sort of boxed between the two sets of ARs) and was then getting stuck ourside of the Penalty area in the middle of the field. Moving the AAR to the side of the AR meant that the referee could continue his diagonal run deeper into the left side of the Penalty Area where he had a better view of the shenanigans going on in the Penalty Area. ponsaelius
Because they are the current Scudetto holders. M4
That explanation re. the referee positioning actually makes complete sense. Not often logic and football go together these days. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

Guest
I'll spin that question around then has a team ever lost the title after being 7 clear with 3 games left (that was technically 2 points for Doncaster).
