HaydnNUFC
Why do Juve wear the Italian flag on their shirts?
ponsaelius
Because they are the current Scudetto holders. M4
That explanation re. the referee positioning actually makes complete sense. Not often logic and football go together these days. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
54
What happens if Man United win the Europa League and finish 4th, will Champions League qualifying drop to 5th? Or will the runner up of the Europa get the qualification?

Guest
Been asking for a while, haven't found out yet. Has a team in the top 4 leagues in England ever won their league after being so far behind with 3 games left each?

Portsmouth yesterday. 7 points behind with 2 teams above them. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39550094

Guest
I'll spin that question around then has a team ever lost the title after being 7 clear with 3 games left (that was technically 2 points for Doncaster).

Aye, when it came in it wasn't too bad because the rest would either play Celtic twice and Rangers once, or vice versa before the split. Before the whole relegation thing it worked because it was pretty even and didn't have much baring who you got. Now though, if it's still the same, it's a bit shit if it's Celtic twice and Rangers once.
Figures 1-0 Football
Why does it seem like the play off games are shittily organised this year? Are the semi's always played on the same day? I'm sure they used to be on separate days so you could watch them both? Or maybe I made that up.
Wullie
There's some crazy league systems outside the major leagues. Belgium's is the most ridiculously convoluted thing you've ever seen.
madras
There's some crazy league systems outside the major leagues. Belgium's is the most ridiculously convoluted thing you've ever seen. I've posted on them before. Right the top few teams separate off, halve their points, only play on Mondays and double points if there's a full moon type system. Pretty sure the goals are invisible and refereeing is by popular vote.
Superior Acuña
Why did Villa go down to 10 men? - I thought now you didn't get sent off for preventing a goalscoring opp if it's in the box and a penalty is also given?
Exiled in Texas
Didn't see goal/ Villa game/sending off but ... There is no sending off if the foul occurs during a genuine attempt to play the ball. But "deliberate fouls - including holding, pulling or pushing, not playing the ball, serious foul play, violent conduct or deliberate handball in order to deny a goalscoring opportunity - will still result in dismissal."
