Hull have now spent around £13m this summer. I wish we had that spending power.

Sovereign state of Egypt though ain't it

Cardiff must have spent about £30 million so far.

Who have they bought? i know they have submitted a lot of big offers but a lot of rejections it seems.

Cornelius, Medel and Caulker (+ maybe others)

James Appell ‏@jamesappell 1h

Up to 5 leaving Anzhi this week. Kokorin, Denisov and Zhirkov to be unveiled Friday at Dinamo (€45m), Diarra and Boussoufa on their way too

James Appell ‏@jamesappell 1h

Reports from @sportsru - Boussoufa off to Lokomotiv. Surprised no Euro clubs in for him. Diarra looking to have his contract torn up.

Make that six - Anzhi winger Oleg Shatov signing for Zenit St P, @zenit_spb confirm.

Hang on, Kokorin only joined Anzhi FROM Dinamo a month ago

I don't know much about this Cornelius fellow, but otherwise it's a rather unspectacular return for such an expenditure.

Young Danish striker that had a break-through season last year. Displaced Bendtner in NT (following his ban), and could be this year's Benteke.

FC Kobenhavn are bottom of Danish league now, after his sale

I dont know why... but i feel Jonjo Shelvey gonna be massive hit signing for Swansea.

He's an ok player, unfortunately for them I think he's a bit to rash and able to pick up stupid fouls. Always late into tackles.

They're loaded in central midfield, even after losing Huddlestone and Livermore.

and probably Parker too.

Apologies, he's not signed yet but has passed his medical and everything's in place. Seems like it'll be rubber-stamped shortly though.

firstly thats hardly much of an achievement considering how god awful he is and he's only played what 50 senior matchs? awful lot of cash for that and a huge amount of pressure on him to score the goals to keep them up. Medels a good player but mental, caulkers a good buy though

Still... his duty wasn't defensive midfielder actually... he's attacking midfielder... his range range of passing (andrea pirlo style of passing) gonna feed michu & bony well... just perfect signing for laudrup tactics.

I don't think he's been played as a defensive midfielder, not form what I've seen in anycase. I was more suggesting that having a player that's a bit rash is always a concern especially when he doesn't make up for it in his general play. I don't find his range of passing impressive at all, and I'd think they're better off starting De Guzman - Britton behind than Shelvey with one of the two. There's no place for De Guzman, Britton, Michu and Shelvey in that starting line-up.

I do think he has huge potential though, but he hasn't proven it yet.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with a swoop for Anzhi Makhachkala striker Samuel Eto’o, but the Cameroon international’s agent has been quoted as saying that there has been no contact over a possible swoop and his client will be remaining in Russia. Peppino Tirri is reported to have told vesti.ru: "I can assure all that Eto'o will definitely stay at Anzhi. It would be very difficult to arrange his transfer because Samuel is not willing to move to another club for less wages.”

Why all of a sudden can't we compete with the mighty Cardiff,Hull Swansea and Southamptons of this world when it comes to transfers???

Who have they signed that we bid for and lost out to?
