Spurs let King go?!

No.  Talks on a new contract are ongoing apparently, may include a coaching role.

According to Skysports he won't get a new contract.

LEDLEY KING UPDATE

Posted 01 June 2012 1:29pm

The end of the season saw Ledley take time to have a minor procedure on his knee.

Catching up with Ledley today, he said:

"I had a really good start to last season and was pleased to play as many games as I did. A knock in training set me back towards the end, but I opted to carry on playing rather than take the time out to have the knee seen to. Unfortunately that meant that I didn’t play the last few games at the standard I would have liked.

"I’ve been discussing things with the Club and my contract expires this summer. The Club has been fantastic in supporting me and given me several options to stay involved with Tottenham. I shall take a view with them pre-season on my future.

"Tottenham has been the only Club for me and if I can’t play here then I shall look to be involved in another capacity."

A couple of the options offered involve "pay as you play".  It's complex as we have Kaboul, Gallas, Dawson, Caulker and Vertonghen (hopefully, had his medical yesterday) as well as Ledley.  Ryan Nelsen has been released.  Caulker was highly likely to go back to Swansea for another season before Rodgers left, no idea what will happen now.

Newcastle United List unavailable

huh?

This is the full Premier League out of contract list:

http://www.premierleague.com/content/dam/premierleague/site-content/News/publications/other/premier-league-released-list.pdf

So Hoilett isn't out of contract then.

Also Lovenkrands' middle name is Rosenkrands.

That's the free transfer list, so I'm assuming Hoilett isn't on there because he wouldn't be free, there'd be compensation.

Surely that would mean some of our younger players who have been released wouldn't be on the free transfer list either. Just seen Hoyte is to be released by Arsenal, a decent player for cover. Also just seen Bolton's list, man they are going to have problems next season.

We'll find out how good, or bad, Coyle really is.  He was rated higher than Rodgers 2 years ago ...........

Can't believe people wont have Kalou here. For one he is 10 times better than Obertan.

Hardly worth comparing, that doesn't mean to say Kalou is by any means the right alternative.

As a winger he's comparable. And as of now I think Kalou would be a starter in our team as I don't rate Jonas as a winger. Marveaux vs Kalou is another debate.
