No good in the middle in a flat 4-4-2. It is a waste of his talents plying him there and or like that. He was excellent in the second-half I thought where he was higher up the pitch and on the ball.

Seemingly incapable of a 7/10 performance, he's either very good or anonymous.

With Cabaye, who we all know is a very good player, it is all about where he plays and his tole in the team.

Imagine asking Tiote to play on the wing... or Jonas as a striker. He needs to play in an advanved attacking midfield role where he can get on the ball and in and around the box, where he can dictate play and get among the assists and goals.

Think today proved without tiote we look very soft through the middle. Too many times with just a couple of passes chelsea cut straight through us and had players running at taylor and coloccini. If tiote is out we need 3 in the middle which is the formation anita and cabaye have played for most of their careers.

Arguably his best game for us was Villa away last season in a 4-4-2. Getting boring as fuck this 4-3-3/4-4-2 shite on here like.

True. We played well on a number of occasions with 442 last season.

He should be off corners, they are fucking terrible.  Though we need different plans for our corners as we look utterly useless whenever we have one.

But none was better than Stoke (h) and WBA (a) :fwap:

Need to remember that on both days the opposition were fairly insipid. We beat both Man Utd and Chelsea with 442.

Maybe we could chalk it down to a one off but he was phenomenal against Manchester United last season alongside Tiote in Centre mid. A terrier like performance which if delivered week in week out would make us exceptionally hard to play against. Different to his Stoke performance but of similar pedigree.

Was he injured pre-season? Why is he so unfit?

He was in the Euros and was given far too much extra time off, as such he's clearly not up to speed yet.
