Yohan Cabaye

Nothing too serious for Cabaye, it seems, who will join les Bleus at Clairefontaine to be assessed by French medics. Relief for Pardew.

Though hope he plays no part in the France games. The lad does need rest.

Hopefully they won't feel the need to risk him.

Poor today, had no control of the midfield.

Clearly down to his injury though, so hopefully he will get better after the international break. The rest could do him good as his form has dipped a little since the last block of internationals.

We were 2-0 up with Cabaye on the pitch and were considerably worse after he went off.

WTF are you on? :D

Some people are out of their minds, that's just the way it goes. Cabaye is like an invisible wall to some, they can't see him, yet he's there winning tons of possesion in midfield and spreading the ball around wisely.

 Even if you didn't know any of our players, you could see the difference when that one random bloke got taken off. As admirably as Gosling performed, it was plain as day Everton took control of the match the moment Cabaye went off.

Didnt look too serious and i think AP's comments about him possibly not making the Citeh game could well just be to throw a spanner in the works of Citeh's game plan.

Pardew confirmed to BBC that he was injured after 20 minutes which explains why he played so poor from then on. Though if he stayed on for another 20 mins he will probably be OK after the international break.

hope it was the injury that made him just watch rodwell waltz into the box and get a free header, bloody appalling tracking back that was.

Thats one part of his game that Cabaye needs to improve. This is evident of the fact he played in a 3-man central midfield at Lille, where it was perhaps not his responsibility. It may call to experiment with a 3 man midfield of Cabaye, Tiote and Guthrie if we were to hit a slump in form.

No idea why everyone needs to go to Paris for treatment, but I guess it doesn't seem to be causing any problems so far.

Think the French national team doctors want to check it out.

Oh aye, suppose that's normal. I was just equating it with how HBA vanishes off every time he needs a scan or something. Probably nowt, ignore me.

Rodwell was Simpson's man on that corner.

I don't think he's talking about the corner, though. There was a chance earlier in the half, might have even been before we got our second.
