AliGupter
Did Barton get a ban for this: http://i.imgur.com/h8UaE.jpg I can't remember. He didn't, although Shearer never got banned for this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/olmedia/85000/images/_88739_alan_shearer_and_neil_lennon_after_kicking_incident300(30-04-98)allsport.jpg
M4
Come on FA, consistency! Consistency!!!
Fenham Mag
And then i look to the Spanish FA who have not given Pepe a ban for stamping on Messi's hand , which was one of the most blatant things you'll see. Football associations need to get their act together big time.
Skirge
he hasn't appealed has he ? He plead not guilty, if found guilty does he then not get the right to appeal that ? or is him pleading not guilty classed as the appeal ?
Numbers
So whats the criteria for taking action? Seems to be pie in the sky stuff, i do think intent was there with Cabaye was more the look on his face than the actions that signalled the intent. Didn't the ref give a free kick therefore saw an infringement? Fucking criminal that they just pick and choose like, if they are going to do this then they need to be consistent which they aren't by a long shot. AlanSkÃrare
YCabayeofficiel yohan cabaye 3 matchs ban it's a real injustice but life goes on !!! In my teammates i trust ...
Guest johnson293
Oh well, at least he wasn't given an extra match. You have to wonder what Sunderland did in Michael Turners appeal, for it to be deemed 'frivolous' and be given the extra game. Is that the only one which has been increased for that reason? Ketsbaia
The FA are a joke. No way should that be a suspension and their inconsistency is ridiculous.
jdckelly
Inevitable, the FA is hardly going to find they the all knowing FA were wrong were they
Guest neesy111
The length of the ban is ridiculous. How can all bans be the same length for a range of offences?
NEEJ
Oh well, at least he wasn't given an extra match. You have to wonder what Sunderland did in Michael Turners appeal, for it to be deemed 'frivolous' and be given the extra game. Is that the only one which has been increased for that reason? Ferdinand got an extra game for the elbow last season, or the season before didn't he?
Guest neesy111
I hope Ray Stubbs is banned from SJP by Pardew and Co.
Beren
Bit of a pisstake. Stretchered off after a shit challenge against QPR, only a yellow card for Derry. He is incensed. Instinctively kicks out after a clogger fouls him, and proceeds to roll his bodweight onto his leg, no freekick awarded, no card produced. So Cabaye misses four games for being fouled twice, basically. Cool story, FA.
Dave
Wonder if he'll be reprimanded for putting that on Twitter?

Nobody
I really don't see that as more than a yellow, takes the piss that he'll miss three games for that.
Elliottman
The break he will get is exactly what he needs like. but not what we need.
TRon
The daft thing is that El Abd is the animal, Cabaye probably just lashed out after getting mauled all game.
ChrisMcQuillan
Cabaye should have been sent off once or twice this season, so on the balance, a ban's probably deserved. It being for the incident in question though, just shows how utterly stupid the FA are.
SUPERTOON
The break he will get is exactly what he needs like. but not what we need. No, obviously with Tiote away, we could have done with him, but this will be his first break since the beginnning of the season.
Ketsbaia
I hope Ray Stubbs is banned from SJP by Pardew and Co. Yep, might sound petty but Stubbs went out of his way to spotlight the 'incident'.
