Ba is without doubt the best all-round centre-forward I've seen at Newcastle outside of Alan Shearer and Sir Les and is the best striker we've had since Shearer. He could well go on to score 20 league goals or more which would be an amazing feat. The best thing about him is that I can see even more to his game that he hasn't shown just yet. Not on a regular basis anyway. He has so many attributes and its great to see a genuine goalscoring centre-forward at Newcastle because with one in your ranks, you'll always do better than most. He could prove the difference between European football or mid-table or even a relegation fight. You can always tell a genuine goalscorer because they'll score goals and perform well regardless. Shearer was exactly the same. Home or away, stunners or tap-ins, when the team is playing well and when the team is playing badly, in the first half of a game or the second, a brace here, a hat-trick there, goals and goals.

Ba loving Toon's French flair

In-form striker is enjoying life playing with the Magpies' French connection

Last Updated: December 27, 2011 5:35pm

Demba Ba has hailed Newcastle United's French invasion after the 2-0 Premier League win at Bolton on Boxing Day.

Senegalese striker Ba - who was himself born in France - struck his 14th league goal of the campaign against the Trotters after Frenchman Hatem Ben Arfa fired Newcastle's opener with a magical strike.

The 26-year-old is in a squad which includes five French nationals and it was one of those, Gabriel Obertan, who teed up Ba for his strike at the Reebok Stadium.

"The French are going to have an influence in front of goal because we have a lot of French players and we work very hard together," Ba told the Newcastle Evening Chronicle.

"Hatem was brilliant for his goal, and everybody is happy. Everybody can look forward to the next game at Liverpool and enjoy it now."

Golden Boot

Ba is in with a real shout of winning the Premier League's Golden Boot - he is just two strikes behind current top scorer Robin van Persie - but after hitting doubles in recent defeats to West Brom and Norwich, Ba is more concerned with the impact of his latest goal.

He said: "It was a very important goal. It was important, because after a row of six games, we needed a win. It is very encouraging for us ahead of the Liverpool game.

"The confidence never left the team - we always knew we were a good side. We just needed to do a couple of things to get back on the victory trail."

As an ex-Muslim myself (and atheist now), at times, it breaks my heart looking at Demba right now. I mean... he's working hard in his live to worship Allah, fasting during bloody Ramadan, staying away from drink and womanising, etc, and then, at the end of it all..... he's going to be conned! No paradise, no orgies, no wine, no being with loved ones again.... it's all a big lie!  Just makes me feels so sorry for this big, innocent, loveable black man.

He dosen't deserves this.....  bless him. :undecided:

 Well, over the past couple of years I've become more and more knowledgeable about.... well, er, just life really. You know, about evolution, the history of the earth, how the universe came to be, etc. Also other things such as world events and my own life experience have contributed to me to begin to question it all. I mean even, erm, philosophy.... that alone shits all over this God, paradise, hell, etc concept. I've also actually bothered to do my own research into Islam itself..... thankfully that only justified my decision to apostate even more.
