Just joined 888casino for the free £5 bet since I'm bored. Stuck £1 on 31 and it came up  then I see

"Bonuses (Welcome Bonus and others) and any winnings derived from a bonus may be withdrawn only after an amount totalling no less than 30 (thirty) times the initial bonus amount received has been wagered"

30 times ffs

It's a fucking joke man, what's even the point of it?

£50 on Santos at Bolivar got me a £25 sign up/deposit bonus from BetVictor. I then wasted that, and deposited another £25. Between this, I'd put £20 on horse races that I know jack shit about. A barman's wages can't supplement that shit.

Never bet on away teams playing in Bolivia man.

:okay:

I came across a random tip on a website and it was saying that the only thing in Bolivar's favour was the altitude etc. I got blinded by the big names and the 3.8 odds.

Fair do's and it is on a level playing field but the altitude is such a massive factor. I'd never touch a non-altitude team playing in Bolivia plus as it's the latter stages there are no real duffers in there. Santos will run riot in the 2nd leg like most likely though.

2nd leg 8-0 to Santos. Ridiculous. Disgustingly short on odds then running riot like. Got 1.25/1 on -2 and 1.4/1 to qual.

Won't happen but stuck a little bit on La U to qualify at 5s v Quito.

Ridiculously short odds. Saw 1.18 on Ladbrokes. Still pissed at wasting £50 quid on that shit 2 weeks ago.

Can you lads explain this for me, please? It's with a £5 stake.

6. You will only be eligible to withdraw winnings accrued through the use of Promo Cash once you have staked at least 4 times the value of your initial bonus amount and these bets have fully settled. [For example: If you receive £25 in Promo Cash you must place further settled bet(s) with a cumulative stake value of at least £100 before you will be permitted to make a withdrawal of any winnings accrued through the use of Promo Cash. If you receive £10 in Promo Cash you must place further settled bet(s) with a cumulative stake of £40 before you will be permitted to make a withdrawal of any winnings accrued through the use of Promo Cash.]

I'm assuming I've got to bet £5 of my winnings a total of four more times until I'm allowed to withdraw it. Is that correct?

Use oddsmonkey (http://www.oddsmonkey.com/) to find an event on which lay odds are very close to back odds (using your preferred betting exchange). Bet on something that you that provides a good percentage yield that you think is unlikely to happen (at 888bet) and lay this bet on Betfair (or other exchange). If it doesn't come off, you 'win' at Betfair and extract most of your winnings without having to rollover multiple times. You can do this multiple times until you can either withdraw from Betfair, or you've met your rollover requirements. Will require pumping a bit of cash into your Betfair, but overall you're unlikely to lose much of your winnings as long as you pick something sufficiently unlikely to occur to lay on Betfair.

Does this make sense? Use this (http://www.matchedodds.co.uk/matched-betting-calculator/) to calculate the amounts required to lay on Betfair/expected returns without risking arithmetical miscalculation (and potentially losing winnings).

Let me know if there's any of this that doesn't make sense - if you follow these instructions, you should be able to get your winnings out (via an exchange) without having to meet the rollover requirements.

Hushovd and Felliu e/w in today's stage of the Giro (@ c. 100-1) -  depends on how Cavendish is recovering. They've been around the middle of the top 10 so far.

I  had a few quid on Cav odds were shitty though, as they will be for every flat stage especially with nice strain run ins like today so Sky can ramp up the train.

For this evening a couple of pennies on Santos to win both halves, Universidad de Chile to Score 4 or more and Universidad de Chile to Score exactly 3.

Universidad de Chile v Deportivo Quito - Universidad de Chile to Score 4 or More Goals @ 7/2 (Win)

Santos v Bolivar La Paz - Santos @ evens (Win)

4 days of profit from 5 at the minute, on a roll. Only little steaks though but keeps it ticking over nicely.

Plus copying people on twitter that know more than me has helped.

https://twitter.com/#!/eaamalyon and  https://twitter.com/#!/Wanchope_Dickov are good for South American Football

https://twitter.com/#!/thefootypster for European, although I haven't been blindly copying for example this Monday his treble included Blackburn who I didn't fancy and swapped out for Wigan.

First leg was misleading too due to the altitude factor. Libertadores will be hard to bet on from here on in though IMO. All the teams left aside from maybe Libertad have a genuine shout of winning it.

Aye, but you're likely to lose one of those bets even if we do finish fourth.

The lower bets represent decent value.

Say you stick £20 on the top one. 9/2 = overall return of £110.

Now, going to the bottom one, and the 2 'specific' scenarios that could happen to allow the first 'overall' bet to come off:

£20 @ 15/1 = £320 return

£20 @ 7.8/1 = £176 return

Now, take off the 20 quid from the other 'specific' bet, you have a minimum winning return of £156. Both scenarios could even happen, though.

If you're wanting to bet on you finishing in the top 4, surely sticking money on the 2 different scenarios is the way to go?

Probably confused myself there anyway. It's Friday.

I'm confused too.. so my question is... is there a guaranteed minimum return? Yes or no?

Put £2 on Newcastle to finish top 4 = £11 returns

Put £2 on Newcastle to win & Arsenal to lose = £32 returns (£30 if Spurs win)

Put £2 on Newcastle to win & Spurs not to win = £17.60 returns (£15.60 if Arsenal don't lose)
