Mackem at the ground claiming the free kick wasn't a free kick, and Terry was offside.

 

Haven't seen the goal. Any comments?

 

Anelka certainly made the most of it, but there definitely was contact. I've only just saw Terry's goal there, so not really sure if he was on or off. The commentators seem to think he was on.

It's one of my favourite bad arguments, that.

 

"I'm at the game, and it was definitely offside in the split second I saw it!!"

 

"Well, I'm watching it at home with the benefit of replays from 6 different angles, and I can tell you, he was definitely onside."

Tbf, not getting anything against Chelsea isn't an embarrassment, but I look forward to Bruce desperately attempting to spin it into an heroic performance, it was a matter of luck that they didn't get anything what with no beachballs getting in the way of a shot and deflecting the ball in.
