TRC
We signed Geremi as captain, what a man.
loki679
Not Cabaye. I love him as a player but he went missing when we needed him. Give it to someone with some heart. Krul or Taylor maybe. Make Shola club captain and appoint a team captain to lead on the field.

Make Shola club captain and appoint a team captain to lead on the field. I think Krul would be a coward decision, still a young lad and I don't see wy we'd give it to him. At the end if Colo leaves it'll end up being Cabayes whether we like it or no. I'd obviously rather give it to someone like Saylor and see if it's a magic potion that can keep him healthy
colinmk
I wouldn't even consider Cabaye again for captain, he doesn't seem to want to be one for a start. Either that or he just has nowhere near what it takes.
Jack Flash
It'll be very difficult to get the same type of defender but it won't be that difficult finding one equally as effective defensively imo, but it'll cost. God man replacement's don't have to 100% of Coloccini to 100% of a replacement.
LRD
Cabaye will most likely be captain once Colo leaves. Tbf there are mitigating factors that would have affected his performances - his bout of depression, injury concerns, and a shit manager with shit tactics. I'll give him another chance at showing what he can do, preferably with a proper manager. MYM could be another option once the lad settles down. Kanj
Depends on who we hire as manager if Pardew was sacked. If someone like Girard came in then you would think Cabaye or Yanga-Mbiwa would be options. Mapou was his captain and I recall reading a ton about his leadership capabilities.
LRD
Both have been captains of their Ligue 1-winning sides. That makes them the obvious choices to take over from Colo. This season has been such a car clash that we can hardly judge their leadership abilities objectively when almost everything conspires against them - depression, injuries for Cabaye as mentioned, coming into a new league and a relegation battle alongside a partner you can't communicate with for Yanga-Mbiwa, and the ineptness of the manager. I'll give them time next season before making a proper judgement on their leadership capabilities.

Wullie
I'm fairly sure Cabaye wasn't regular Lille captain.

LRD
I'm fairly sure Cabaye wasn't regular Lille captain. You're right. Mavuba was Lille captain, Cabaye was his vice-captain and also captained the French U21s. Does seem to be pretty influential in the dressing room. BONTEMPI
I deperately hope Mbiwa can step up, if Colo leaves. We will be lucky if they decide to sign another centre back. I'm sure he could also fill Tiotes role as a DM if things don't work out at the back.

Ronaldo
We haven't played against Arsenal with him him here, man. He's good some very good qualities but ability in possession isn't one of them.
Tooj
He has showed in the past that he does have that ability though.
Ronaldo
I know you've seen absolutely loads of him so i'll go along with that. He was also described as physically dominant, by the way. Completely different in this league.
Ronaldo
Aye OK, the French league is similar in quality to the PL and all those misplaced passes are Pardew's fault. We know it, so get back to inventing games that never happened.
Ronaldo
Showed up. Looking good in possession in France is about as much use to us as Gouffran being a good winger in France. Doesn't mean a thing in this league. Players are in a different league technically, physically and mentally over here.

In any case I think MBiwa will turn great and you can see that he's very good in possession, it's right now all about adapting he has apses in concentration and does misplace a bit too many balls. I understand your criticism but if you've seen him before and even for us we've seen glimpses of a ball playing defender. In any case I agree we shouldn't consider him as a DM, he is to be the replacement for Colo by what we've seen and I hope a pre-season with the team and some more english lessons will help him out. Have no doubt he'll be one of the best in the league in couple of years.
