He's a cracking player, he can play all across the front & finish instinctively, cracking movement. The future looks bright for Italy, I can imagine him and Cristante tearing it up in a few years.

Like a lot of players in Italy though he's co owned - so he's basically a Juventus player when they want him. Milan/Genoa had the same with Kevin Prince Boateng although he'd never kicked a ball for Genoa. It's weird.

Seedorf's first game against Hellas Verona is on BT Sport on Sunday night if anyone's interested

Apparently playing Kaka/Honda behind Balotelli which should be interesting.

Juve in Italy is like Man United here but 5 times worse and has been that way since the 20s and 30s thanks to FIAT bankrolling the club back then. They always get good away followings more or less due to the fact that everywhere they go they have huge local support.

Ridiculous when you see clubs like Bari at the other end of the country have easily their best attendances for years when they play Juve at home. They averaged 20k when they were in Serie A but got 45k when Juve came.

Agree on large away ends looking awesome but its not as impressive as a proper pilgrimage of local fans.

Probably hogwash like, but I can't help but feel that this is something I think we'll all see a decrease of in the future if football follows its current course: Clubs getting ludicrous money from TV deals, changing match dates/times, gulfs in team quality, memberships to get tickets, media bias towards clubs, police intervention and what not. Whilst every club will retain a core support, everything seems to be becoming geared towards distance and foreign support.

The Juve thing is upsetting really like but you're right on the money. Can't see that changing any time soon either. It's weird knowing people over there who were mainly either Milan or Juve fans despite having no connection to either place.

Trailed off but still :yao: And no, the irony is not lost on me in this post  :p

In 10/11 when Milan last won the scudetto there were lads driving round the City in Juve tops shouting abuse at Milan fans. Which was weird.
