Dave
I really wonder about our medical team, mistaking a 4 week absence for 2 day one. Don't think we actually ever said owt tbf.
LesPaul
Great, another player ready for this match. Pardew: Oh, so you have Rooney back, guess what! We have OBERTAN. Take that Fergie! Ferguson: Pardew:
Cajun
The positive vibes since the news of his injury seems to have fixed him, you only have yourselves to blame

Dave
I've nowt against the bloke like (apart from that he's been poo so far), I just wanted something to force Pardew's hand with regards to selection. Obvious Obertan will start on the right tomorrow as per every other game.

Same as most fans I reckon, its nothing personal against him we all want him to come good but Pardew having to change things would not have been a bad thing. David28
Think Obertan didn't too bad against Man Utd. Point to prove against former club and all that. Still think we'll see the usual Obertan tomorrow.

Ronaldo
I get the distinct impression that Obertan was Pardew's choice and his choice alone. Anything out there that conflicts with that?

Lush Vlad
I get the distinct impression that Obertan was Pardew's choice and his choice alone. Anything out there that conflicts with that? Perhaps desperately trying to justify the £3m-£3.5m we spent on him and the 5 year contract, should take him out of the firing line. I don't condone booing, absuing or sarcastically jeering him, but it's getting beyond ridiculous now. When he is consistently one of the worst 3 players every week, it's no wonder the fans are growing impatient and becoming hostile is it?
Ronaldo
Especially not when it's compounded by a perceived lack of effort.
TRon
I hope our fans aren't too rough on him tomorrow, that won't do us any good. It's not his fault Pardew rates him so highly, so while I don't think he should start, there's no point in slating him during the game. He's not the thickest skinned to start with. Guest bimpy474
Especially not when it's compounded by a perceived lack of effort. Its not perceived its true at the moment, the Liverpool game he didn't try especially when we didn't have the ball, fans will forgive a lot but will never ever forgive a lack of effort, and that would be every club from the very top to a Sunday park. High Five o
It does not look like he could care less sometimes. Just uninterested. I lost it when he was "tackled" by the ref, or ran into him is more correct. He just fucking stood there and looked stupid, like he was going to cry. I screamed obscure words to the TV, felt embarrassed afterwards. Look what you made me do Obertan, i lost it.

It very blatantly is perceived.
