Gabriel Obertan signs for Anzhi

I've nowt against the bloke like (apart from that he's been poo so far), I just wanted something to force Pardew's hand with regards to selection. Obvious Obertan will start on the right tomorrow as per every other game.

Same as most fans I reckon, its nothing personal against him we all want him to come good but Pardew having to change things would not have been a bad thing.

of course, the Obertan 'situation' is completely and utterly Pardew's fault

I get the distinct impression that Obertan was Pardew's choice and his choice alone. Anything out there that conflicts with that?

Perhaps desperately trying to justify the £3m-£3.5m we spent on him and the 5 year contract, should take him out of the firing line.

I don't condone booing, absuing or sarcastically jeering him, but it's getting beyond ridiculous now.  When he is consistently one of the worst 3 players every week, it's no wonder the fans are growing impatient and becoming hostile is it?

I hope our fans aren't too rough on him tomorrow, that won't do us any good. It's not his fault Pardew rates him so highly, so while I don't think he should start, there's no point in slating him during the game. He's not the thickest skinned to start with.

It's a ridiculous concept I will never understand.

Especially not when it's compounded by a perceived lack of effort.

Its not perceived its true at the moment, the Liverpool game he didn't try especially when we didn't have the ball, fans will forgive a lot but will never ever forgive a lack of effort, and that would be every club from the very top to a Sunday park.

It does not look like he could care less sometimes. Just uninterested.

I lost it when he was "tackled" by the ref, or ran into him is more correct.

He just fucking stood there and looked stupid, like he was going to cry.

I screamed obscure words to the TV, felt embarrassed afterwards.

Look what you made me do Obertan, i lost it.

It very blatantly is perceived.
