Deuce
And it's dodgy how Abeid, Amalfitino and Marveaux have completely disappeared from the first team, surely they're better options than Obertan! Perhaps not. Marveaux certainly hasn't impressed this season and if Pards doesn't feel Abeid or Amalfitano are league-ready, I have no qualms about Obertan still seeing time. toondra
4 years ago, being asked about obertan, laurent blanc, who was his coach at bordeaux, said that obertan needed to fix his mental/psychologic problems if he wanted to make a good football carreer. i think there's a big issue with this guy, he doesn't have self confidence. henke
My wife just asked why Obertan slows down everytime he's faced with a 50/50 challenge. For the same reason he jumped at thin air in the build up to Anitas goal.
Amir_9
Rather see him than Jonas in the first team, for now.
Unlucky Luque
Should've buried the two clear cut chances in the first half
Beren
Rather see him than Jonas in the first team, for now. Obertan in the Premiership is grim, man. Far worse than Jonas.
Mick
Rather see him than Jonas in the first team, for now. He did well tonight but do we have to keep trying to flog a dead horse?
mozy
Still looks very useful in the Euro game, can't complain.
Guest Dontooner
Plays fairly well on the left, which i think its a more natural position for him. Maybe in a couple of years he might actually get better..

wyn davies
back to his normal useless self no commitment and if peeps are getting on Marveaux back then I'm afraid Obertans is well below him,no idea what Pardew see's in this guy.

Amir_9
While hes utterly useless in the opposition box sometimes, theres the odd one or two square pass he gets right with nobody being there unfortunately. Barely see Jonas in the opposition box now, see him being inffective in center midfield and on the wing mostly, someones also mentioned a while ago how hes not winning as much fouls as he used to. TRon
I thought he was disappointing again. Had the beating of the right back all night but just never went for it. Fergie's no mug, he was right to get rid.
Dinho lad
Does better than Marveaux.
TaylorJ_01
Does better than Marveaux. Marveaux has absolutely loads more talent than Obertan. I'd rather we persisted with him. Obertan has had enough chances to impress.

True, but there's probably something to take from him being reasonably useful in Europe but utterly crap in the league.
Mistle17
This guy is such an awful footballer. He can carry the ball, but he cant figure out what to do with it, can rarely beat his opponent and couldn't cross the ball if you told him his hair would grow back. Absolutely useless. Please get rid in the summer.
