Ste
I'm happy with him as back-up to Krul, decent keeper. Just going off Twitter he seems like a canny lad, very grounded.
Deuce
Between Krul, Elliot, and Alnwick, I'm more than satisfied with our depth at keeper.
Karjala
after his utterly wank debut he looks a canny keeper nowadays!
Willow
Between Krul, Elliot, and Alnwick, I'm more than satisfied with our depth at keeper. what's Alnwick like? I don't even know what he looks like, nevermind how he plays, I'm guessing he's a young'un. We'll deffo need another GK once harper moves on, which should be this summer. Tiresias
Harper will surely just retire, perhaps becoming a goalkeeping coach? He seems well liked behind the scenes iirc.

Aye i don't want to be too expectant of a kid yet, even if he might have some promise. I think we will be in for another keeper in the summer. Alnwick will probably be put out on loan & Harper given a coaching role
Tiresias
Yeah but it could just be a prospect, assuming Elliott doesn't embarass himself repeatedly next few games they probably won't sign anyone to be ahead of him
Pilko
Big test of his handling today.
Tiresias
Yep, got to be confident, Krul is a great gk against Stoke, always plucking ball out the air, Elliott has to be good. That said way to play Stoke is always to minimise set pieces, hopefully won't be needed.
Ronaldo
His biggest test so far by a mile.
Pilko
And he passed it imo. Did absolutely fine today.
CPL
Wasn't really tested that much as Stoke were so negative but looking good for second choice.

sugoinufc
And he passed it imo. Did absolutely fine today. He did indeed. He's doing very well so far. Well done, Rob. must admit he has surpriced me. looks good
Benwell Lad
Really like the kid. Excellent handling under pressure yesterday and can't be paid a higher compliment than to say we've hardly missed Timmy.
buzza
Yes, very impressed with Rob Elliot. His first games for us in the lcoal cup comps made me a bit wary but he has surpassed any expectations I had... I honestly think that based on his performances so far we have some good competition for the Nº1 shirt. Keep it up Robb!!!
Miercoles
based on his performances so far we have some good competition for the Nº1 shirt. Let's not get carried away here, Krul is miles ahead of Elliot. though I will admit that Elliot is the superior twitter poster.
Kanj
He's playing well - just needs to continue to keep it up.

Ronaldo
He's miles away from Krul, man. He's not letting us down, which is probably as good as it gets from him.
Guest bimpy474
Ron is like Sgt. Foley from An Officer and A Gentleman.
Pilko
That may be, but when Krul sees Elliot playing well and gaining plaudits, that will prevent him becoming complacent. Not that I think he's the sort of character who would be, like.
Ronaldo
Ron is like Sgt. Foley from An Officer and A Gentleman. Harsh, bro. Let's just keep things in perspective: Krul's the Dutch no.1. Elliott has looked an adequate PL sub.
bowlingcrofty
Krul is a better shot stopper, however Elliot's distribution is far superior to Krul's.
